What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Hi Alexlisa,

This is a wonderful idea for a thread! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

My 3 achievements so far today :

1) Getting up in time to make it to Church

2) Talking to 2 Church visitors I had never met before

3) Filling the bird baths early when I originally thought I would do it tomorrow

Cheers all from Dools

This sounds good to make a note. I have done three things today :

1. Managed to ride my bike for an hr - good exercise

2. Cooked 3 healthy meals.

3. Tidied up the house nice and clean

thanks.

Wow an hour of riding, good work!

This is a great idea for a thread. Thanks 🙂

I meant to post this last night, for yesterday:

1)I replied to a message from a friend that I had been trying to get to for a week

2)I wasn't going to eat dinner but then I DID, and it was also semi-nutritious

3) I got out into the garden and made some progress there.

same, these are for yesterday

- washed hair

- watered garden (water theme?!)

- are a healthy dinner

Ok. Yesterday was a hard day, but I got through and had some massive (for me) achievements.

1. I ate a healthy dinner

2. I got through a stressful NDIS meeting. I cried a lot, and that’s ok

3. I walked 30 minutes to the meeting

Today is all about self-care 😌

1) I went with my anxious, autistic (undiagnosed as yet but I'm pretty certain) 5yo to her new school and supported/advocated for her almost all day.
2) Supported my 5yo with compassion, after school through extreme meltdowns/stress caused by the school day
3)I ate some food today.

Hello everyone,

I love the idea of this thread! Achieving day to day things can be hard some times and celebrating the little things can help.

1. I got up and changed out of my PJs (instead of wearing them all day)

2. I took my dog for a half hour walk.

3. I got outside and watered the garden.

Ok it’s been a difficult few days for me.

Three achievements I’m proud of for yesterday are :

1. I went to my NDIS review meeting.

2. I cried during most of the meeting because I was so anxious, but I didn’t get too down on myself. I’m doing my best and being myself and yesterday that meant crying, and that’s ok.

3. I ate a proper dinner. Which is a BIG achievement for me because I’ve not being prioritising my health enough lately.

How about you? Did you have any big or small achievements today? Somedays just getting out of bed is the act of a superhero, and that’s ok.
