Three self-care things you did today!
We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
OKAY I'll go first:
1. Cried when I needed to
2. Made a healthy dinner
3. Put face cream on
2. Had a snooze
3. Quality time with mum
i love this thread
a few self-care things i've been doing
1) following what i learn in hospital and presenting my meals nicely - more appealing and "treat" like.
2) short walks
3) reading the newspaper
4) having a podcast going in the background so I can tune in and out and relax
Mowed the lawns
played with the dogs
Stood back and admired the renovations i have done.
Have noticed a lot of resistance coming up to self-care....
feeling like somehow it's like i've done enough self care etc... putting pressure on myself to not need it.
at those times i probably need it more than ever.
I'm hearing you Sleepy21 loud and clear. I never think I've done enough self-care... I just resist doing it completely!
BIG struggle for me.
I love your presenting food like a treat one lol! Never thought of that.
I always forget about podcasts.. hmm.

Wow Not_Batman - what a set of achievements today! I think you are Batman with super powers like that! Lol. Well done you.

My self-care things today:
1. drank lots of water
2. ate a good lunch
3. had hugs with my pets
4. had a nap
hot drink while sitting outside
took some time for myself when some very chatty neighbours wanted to talk to me (sorry, not today lol)
put on a snug jumper
(these are hard to write)
(i'm not good at this).
great to work on this 🙂
My self care today:
- had a shower
- finished cleaning the house and did all laundry
- listened to guided meditation
- did mindspot course for anxiety/depression
