Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this." Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words. I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum. My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence; 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!' I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful... Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them. Sign off respectfully and sincerely. I hope this takes off... Spreading the love...Sara

This thread has been inspired by Anny! Thanks for your encouragement. Each day I am going to try to write down "My Daily Happiness Experience" If any of you would like to add your own happy experiences, past or present or any comments, then please do so. My Daily Happiness Experience today was putting on the sprinkler just for the native birds and then listening to their joyful song and chirping as they refreshed themselves. Happiness is knowing that no matter how hot and flustered I may be feeling, there is always an escape. I just have to look for it and make the most of the opportunities that come my way. Hi Guys! I'm a 29 year old male currently in recovery from a long-term eating disorder, studying counselling. I've been thinking for a long while that It would be an amazing resource for recovery to have a group, much like an A.A meeting, that convenes every week, or month or so. A space for sharing and for staying committed to recovery and receiving support in the process. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that thinks this might be a good idea also? Or would consider participating in something like this? It would be great to get a sense of if people might be interested. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Dear fellow Beyond Blue Members, I have received a bunch of help from here and wanted to pass a bit of holiday spirit to our fellow members. I can understand that this time is not always an enjoyable time especially when people may feel alone in the world but I am hoping my words are as sincere as possible and honest. There will always be people that care for you, there will always be people out there that have your well being in their hearts. I couldn't begin to understand the hidden difficulties that people courageously manage to get through an often scary and anxious world. Today, yesterday or tomorrow may not be a great day but I am sure things will always get better. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to all you very amazingly brave people.

Its very hard to meet people but am finding myself not wanting to at all. I feel very lost and crying most day. I have joined the gym so attend fitness classes as much as I can as I no this helps a lot. I have meet a very nice man recently but find myself shutting down when he is around treating him not very nicely by ignoring him I don't like what I am doing but just feel overwhelmed all the time and don't no how to get myself out of this. Has anyone been through this I would like to chat.

I have suffered from restless legs syndrome for about 15 years and was taking medication daily which worked most of the time. About 4 months ago I changed to a whole food plant based diet (no oil, no sugar, no animal products) because I had some cardiovascular issues. The results have been much better than I expected. A side effect of my new diet has been the disappearance of my restless legs syndrome problem!

Sometime I might be cleaning or at work and the negative thoughts can sink in. I was at my doctor and he said just don't think about them and try not to dwell on them and sometimes at home I'm cleaning and I get angry about my life but today I put on music as I cleaned is it a better way to deal with bad thoughts.do u just have to accept that life doesn't always go you on way and u might feel better and life might be a bit raised it feels a bit better the noise of the music kind of blocks out the negative thoughts so just asking thanks
