Welcome to BB forums.
Ava, I can relate to your Question so easily,
I was married for 38 years to a man that had to have complete control over me, What I wore, how my hair was cut or styled, who I spoke to, where I worked, who my friends were, absolute total control. Started of at first with me needing his approval, then escalated to him controlling me.
Circumstances made it impossible to leave him so I tried the next best thing, I tried to change him, I found out you cannot change anyone they are who they are.
You need to be you, to be yourself, to do what you want do without needing his approval, you don't need his approval to do what you want to do.
Only you can decide what you want to do about your relationship with your boyfriend. No one else can do this for you. I would stand back and look at the big picture,if he is this way now, how is he going to be in 1,2,3 or 10 years times.
Just something for you think about,
your welcome to come here anytime to talk, I will be here when I can.
