A little bit lost

Hi,

I've only just signed up so please forgive me if I do this wrong. I don't ever post things on the internet but I feel I'm left with no option. I'm writing this because I'm not sure what else I can do. I've seen doctors and specialists, physiologists and psychiatrists. I'm a very very happy person. I enjoy hard work and a challenge. I have an 8 month old son who is happy and health. A husband who is great. At the end of the day I just cry and cry. There is an overwhelming sense of despair I can't shake. I've have had severe metal issues in the past but I have never felt like this. it's killing us as a family and my relationship with my partner? What can I do?

Hi Rae Rae

Welcome to our forum. I hope you find it useful and supportive.

Congratulations on your son and relationship with your partner. Being a happy person and knowing how lucky you are doesn't stop our minds being caught up in a mental illness.

You mention experiencing mental illness in the past - what was the extent of that? How did you manage it?

What has your GP suggested this time round? If you are not making progress with that GP can you see another one?

Do you have the time to get outside each day and exercise? What about your diet? I ask as these strategies are part of what keep my anxiety under control.

Look forward to hearing from you.
