Sad musings

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure what to say other than I'm just on edge, cranky and sad at the same time. I'm aware of helplines, doctors, mental health plans, mindfulness, CBT, smiling mind app, distractions, doing things we love, etc, etc. I feel as though I've hit a wall...

I know that I want to make some sort of change or changes but I'm unsure of the nature of this change. A general feeling of unease. When you're deeply unhappy but you're not even 100% sure why.

Seriously, this all probably seems kind of vague and I'm not sure what I'm hoping to achieve here, and I know that no one has the answer except for me (whatever that is...throws hands up in frustration).

All I can say is I think life is difficult and often painful. It's the daily, in-between moments that I find the hardest. Sometimes I wonder if brief moments of reprieve is as good as it gets.

Hello Peppy and Birdy.....🤗..

Peppy I’m deeply sorry and saddened for the hard struggling your having with doing the right thing with isolation..it’s hard isn’t it sweety but necessary for now...I’m very proud of you and everyone else doing the right thing by staying home..

Peppy do you have a yard or balcony that you could start growing a few herbs or small plant in pots?...It’s very rewarding when you start using your own herbs for cooking..just a though...

It’s nice that your still communicating which your family and friends, I know it’s not the same as r/l, but you’re all still being their for the other in your hearts and souls, and it’s probably helping each other to get through the horrid virus safely..That’s the main thing sweety, to keep each other safe....then when lockdown is over, wow there will be so many hello hugs, and visits to each other places, plenty of restaurant outing with your friends....That’s something so precious and special to look forward too..

Well done getting commissioned to do some art...That was nice to hear..You must be good at doing portraits and landscapes for them to seek you out...I am very happy for you..

Hello Birdy....You sounds like you’ve been very busy the past week..I’m pleased your getting your to do list shortened a bit....and feeling positive about getting them done...

I love the idea of you having an art room...It’s a place that you can go to and be peaceful and relaxed in....So many people are good at art..when even my stick figures look funny...

I hope your garden is coming along good, I know you like to spend time in it...and I have a sense of feeling that you have a green thumb..I hope you and Mrs B. are feeling okay and coping with the isolation rules...

Sending you both my care, love and hugs..🦋💜🤗..

Grandy...

Oh darls ❤ i think you are in great company with those feelings of claustrophobia and frustration, it is a very strange and trying time.

What is über annoying is hearing/seeing people flouting the rules for their own pleasure/convenience. It druves me insane reading/hearing/seeing people having parties/relaxing for a picnic for hours by the beach/river etc etc when the rest of us are following the rules, as painful as the rules seem.

I want to make clear that my mate helping me is a job not a social situation, one that will help keep him and his family afloat during this time, plus essential work that i need done around the house. It's not socialising, i am paying him by the hour. Just to be crystal clear!

I know it's really hard, being such a social person esp. not to see friends, or your social network regularly, it must be hard.

I am used to it in a way since i moved away from my social scene, i often have to wait quite a while to see my friends in person. When restrictions are in place, it's even harder.

Wowee, that is so amazing that you have two painting commissions! How did they see your work/commission you? I am guessing social media? No pressure to say, i totally understand.

However it happened, that is terrific!

Do you find commissions stressful?

I have only ever had a couple of commissions. I don't think we've ever talked in detail, but here goes: I am primarily a potter. One time i was commissioned to make crockery for a restaurant, which was a huge opportunity for me , but also very stressful! The other commission was for some linoprints for a fancy homewares shop.

Apart from that, I've had no experience with commissions but they generally scare me. I am more into doing my thing and if you like it, great, if not, no worries!

Well, actually, ive been commissioned this evening to make vegan san choy bau!!! Minced tofu, onion, garlic, capsicum, corn, marinated in soy sauce, sweet chilli sauce, coconut Aminos, miso paste, sesame oil, crushed peanuts. Going to cook that up, then into lettuce cups and yummy yummy! What's for dins at your house?

Gotta go, love ya xoxo

Hey Grandy,

Beautiful lady, we must have been messaging Peppy at the same time,

Thank you so much for reading my posts and showing your care and attention, it means a lot! I am excited for my art room as well, i will let you know how it tirns out.

The secret is that our shed has finally been built, it has laid in our backyard for a year, and now it is up! It looks so darn cute, and have built a picket fence next to it and a garden bed in front.

Now if mrs b annoys me she can go live out there - hahahaha just kidding!!! Just kidding. Just kidding ....

Love to you Grandy xo ❤

Hi,

i am feeling very sorry about making a joke of living in the shed.

I completely meant it as a joke, just very lighthearted.

I know living in a shed would be a luxury for some.

One of my brother's lived in his shed for a time because his wife was so awful to him.

I'm just sorry i brought it up and I'm really sorry if i hurt anyone's feelings 😥😓 truly

Grandy..

Hi gorgeous Grandy (& a wave to all),

Thank you so much for you gentle words of warmth & encouragement, lovely one. How special it is to see you here 🙂

I hope your garden is doing well. I remember a surprise watermelon (or was it a pumpkin?) that grew there. Must be a lot of nutrients in the soil 🙂

Yes, my friends/family & I regularly keep in touch virtually. But you’re right, I find it really hard.

I look forward to social isolation being over...we have been discussing celebrations when that happens.

I love art. I can say something visually, which is nice. When words don’t do the trick, a picture can make up for it sometimes 😉

Your love, care & hugs are happily received. I’m going to give you some warm hugs, a new telescope to admire the stars (as I know you enjoy star gazing), & much love xoxo

Darling friend/beautiful b

It’s okay, my friend, gentle & easy does it...you don’t need to explain yourself. I know your friend is there to help out for essential reasons. I never thought otherwise, my friend...

It must be such a blessing for him to have some income. It must be particularly stressful with children to raise as well. I’m glad you’re helping him out, & he is also helping you out 🙂

Sigh, I agree that it is frustrating how some people completely disregard self isolation or social distancing advice/rules. I think some people just don’t understand, or they value their own self interests more than helping to minimise COVID-19 spread. It’s very upsetting.

I’m a pack animal without her pack right now. I miss my friends, not just for fun, but I miss their company more than anything. I also miss my family, like my aunts...

Aside from the social side of things, they make up a bulk of my emotional support & sense of community. It matters less what I do with them, but I value time with them

I can definitely picture you as a potter. I imagine the tactile process of pottery must be calming.

Those commissions must have been huge opportunities, but understandably stressful. I can see why you prefer the creative freedom of making your own pieces.

Laughs, I don’t know if I find commissions stressful or not, as I’ve never accepted any before. I’ll find out 😉

Your dinner sounds like it will be a success! Delicious meal.

My dinner? I don’t know. I’ve little interest in food lately...

I would love to hear how your art room goes, & what work will be done on your house next week?

Thank you for being here & sending love & blessings xoxox

Hey beautiful friend❤

How are holding up?

I know you are without your pack, and that's difficult and frustrating and maybe lonesome.

That quote i left a few weeks ago about tears being a river - did you notice the book it came from? Women Who Rin With The Wolves. Apt? You said you'd be a wolf if not human!

Wiw am i in a werid headspace - i have had a really mindblowingly difficult last half of the week. It's been a very weird one for me.

It's been balanced by some more work done around the house which is making me feel really good and happy.

Just wanted to tiuch base after several days, I'm always here for you, even when I'm not posting, i hope you know.

Being interrupted again, sorry, theres a bit going on.

Love ❤

🌻b xoxo

Darling friend/beautiful b (& a wave to all),

A hand extended & a warm hug. What a rough time you’ve been having.

Would you like to share what has been going on in your world, my friend?

I know sometimes the words don’t come or you don’t want to talk about it, & that is okay. But just know you have a friend in me if you want to talk about it...no pressure though...

Your emotions sound very erratic at the moment...it must be hard. I’m so glad work around the home has been making quite a difference...

Sigh, I’m over it. The very things that will help me now are the very things that I can’t do for a while. So I’m at a standstill....

Yes, this wolf is missing her pack...& no distraction is great enough to take my mind off that reality. All I can do is wait & connect with them through, sigh, a screen...

Smiles, I did notice the book title when I looked up that quote. Thank you for that gift, my friend. Apt indeed...

If you want to talk about anything, light or heavy (or both), I’m here for you too...

What work have you done in your home this week, my friend?

Thank you for being here, my friend...

Thinking of you & sending love, encouragement & hugs xoxox

Hello Peppy, Birds..and all...🤗..

Hi two beautiful ladies...I was intrigued by your animal of choice being a wolf...They are beautiful animals..

Their healing crystal/stone is...Celestine..

When the wolf is your spirit animal, you need a powerful stone if your karma wasn’t all bright in the past. Celestite will help to find your hidden potential. It is a stone of leadership that helps you figure out your talents and luck on your own. Celestite will help to harness the abilities to do just that.

I would have to say..my animal of choice..is the Eagle..Flying free and wherever my heart and soul want me to go...my long wings would take me....

Hello Lovely Birdy...I hope you are doing okay..sweet lady...Do you have an animal that you choose?...

Not sure if it’s the same at your places..Today the clouds are beautiful...A mixture of pure white with shades of grey...

Hoping that both of you have a lovely day...

My care, love and hugs to both of you amazing people...🦋💜🤗..

I made you both a hamper of..cherry chocolate cake, and a hot beverage of your choice..to sit under a beautiful willow tree and enjoy each other’s company... also under the cake is the lovely poem that I love...Footprints...written on two sparkling small crystal slabs...one each for both...

Grandy..

Hi gorgeous Grandy (& a wave to beautiful b & all),

Your post brought a smile to my face. Your words were comforting & warm, lovely one 🙂

I love how your spirit animal is an eagle. Majestic & powerful, soaring high above us...an eagle would see so much of the world. I can see why their freedom draws you to them...

I did not know about the connection between the Celestite Stone & wolves. I’m learning something new today, which pleases me. Thank you so much for sharing that with me, lovely one. Perhaps I need to online shop for a Celestite stone then?

I suppose my spirit animal is a wolf, because they run in packs. They have strong social & familial ties, & live in communities. So the common phrase of “lone wolf” has always puzzled me, as wolves are typically very social animals.

There are some very famous words that goes:

Now this is the law of the jungle...

For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf.

And the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

- Rudyard Kipling

I know it might sound silly, but it makes sense to me. I think my heart understands that quote 🙂

Your care, love, hugs, hamper & beautiful poem are all excitedly & happily received 🙂 I love how caring & creative you are with your presents. I love them. Thank you...

I would also be curious about beautiful birdy’s spirit animal...good question, Grandy. Good question...

Thank you for bringing a smile to my face during what has otherwise been a difficult time 🙂

With love and hugs,

Peppy xoxo
