What jobs have you had?

Thought this might be a bit of fun, and also interesting.

Start from the beginning one at a time, describe it as you wish.

My first job was mowing my nan and pops lawn, I would ride my bike 5ks and totally loved doing it for them.

My first job was paper delivery, my mates family used to do it all and they would give me a couple of streets and pay me not much - to a kid it was ok though.

Then when I turned legal working age (15 here, might of been 14 and 9 months when I was younger) I started working in a cafe, have worked in a couple, now pretty set where I am.

My first job was in a coffee shop while still at school. Left school & worked in a bank. Then moved onto the local library. Loved it there.

Left that to be a mum. Then left husband so back to work in a stationery shop part time. Then full time in the office at a manufacturing business.

Moved again to full time office manager in a bakery. I put on a lot of weight there as I befriended the pastrycook & declared myself official taste tester.

Then came the big mental break down. Afterwards tried parttime in an office of a cabinet maker. But I couldn't draw a flow chart. Last was parttime in the office at a dementia service.

It was too much for me though. I've had to accept I can't work & stay well. My mother told me I'd made it obvious I never wanted to work, just live on people taxes which she resented greatly.

Hey, I like others started doing paper rounds, then worked in a retirement village assisting the elderly from 15 yrs of age, spent many years (about 20)in aged care as an assistant carer, then finally became an EN, only to find myself in childcare now. Always looking after others.

Apprentice motor mechanic, then motor mechanic, then I joined the Australian Army (Transport Corps). On discharge I became a Commonwealth Public servant and worked with RAAF, Navy, Army and Defence Material Organisation (DMO), with a bit of time out to work for the Federal Attorney Generals department with a law enforcement and investigation agency. From the time I started with Navy until I retired five years ago it was all IT and Defence logistics. RAAF time was in logistics and specialist packaging design for aircraft spares. Great times.

Not really impressive, just interesting. I am just one of thousands who have had careers within the Defence community. I am just happy to have served and supported those who take on the job of defending Australia and it's interests. It was a great ride.
