Who is a fan of muscle cars? They make me feel good reading about them, watching them, listening to them, building them. Only models. I'm not rich enough to afford the real thing😂

I'm not talking about drifting or sick rotars here.

I am talking about factory stock muscle from the golden age of motoring.

Chargers, Monaros, Falcons on home turf.

Chevs, Mopars, Olds, Buick, Mustang etc stateside.

Name your top 6 in no particular order!

Mine are....

1. 1970 Buick GSX

2. 1967 Yenko Camaro

3. 1970 Olds 442 W30

4. 1969 Dodge Super Bee

5. HK Holden Monaro

6. E49 Valiant Charger

Lets have em!

I didn't have 6, all I had was

  • 1966 Ford Mustang (not the Shelby)
  • 1976 Ford Capris
  • 1973 Pontiac Firebird
  • 1970 GMC Truck

My son drives an LH

Some very nice choices there mate.I'm very partial to all of those. Particularly the Firebird!

Up until this time last year I had an old HZ 1 tonner.

308, 4 speed, 650 holley on gas. My pride and joy. I loved the old girl.

Same old story but. The rust was getting to her pretty bad so I had to let her go.

Damn near broke my heart. I just didn't have the time or the deniro's to treat her the way she should have been.

The Pony was a rust bucket.

  • 2x4 held in the radiator
  • floor boards in back were plywood, the metal had rusted out
  • sold it for $2K before I moved to Oz, it was going to cost $4k to ship it here.
as it turns out, I should have paid the $4k, as it was worth $15K in Oz.
oh well, what did I know.

The Capris wasn't much better

  • It rained rust flakes whenever you tapped on the windshield
  • when I was changing the water pump, most of the bolts that held it on snapped off due to rust. Thank god for the TIG welder, or I never would have got the new one to stay on.

Sold the firebird to buy the truck. Was living on a farm back then, and didn't need the sports car. It was too impractical

Now days all the muscle is in them legs, I ride a pushbike 24km each way to/from work.
