You are not the weakest human ever to post!

Good on you for reaching out!

I'm prolly not the right person to write back to you, but i just wanted to say that exams don't mean much in the scheme of life and don't beat yourself up too much over it. So you didn't do too well .. that doesnt mark your worth as a letson, my friend.

I ended up with a mark of 38 for my whole hsc, but a few years later found a different path into uni via tafe etc. and all was well.

You are not your marks.

You are waaay more than your marks and your personality and friendship ability and empathy mean so much more than your maths score.

That might not feel helpfulright now, sorry if it doesn't, but it's true 😊

Hello

Sorry to hear how stressed you are after a math test. As badd as this sounds it is probably a good thing this has happened in high school if you are wanting to go on to do further study. Sometimes you study hard and still may not get the best marks. It is an important learning curb. It can be easy to want to give up and to let racing thoughts take over, but trust me don't give up because like Birdy showed there is always a way into what you want to do at uni. Besides a lot of people change courses at uni and take a different career path to what they expected when first going into uni

Like yourself I used to stress about the prospects of getting into uni and doing well at school. I decided to try relax and not overstress myself. I got a decent score however I didn't get the 91 I needed to get into the course I wanted. But that didn't stop me. I went on to do a bachelor degree that was related and did the masters course. I am now in the career I wanted. The hsc score doesn't determine success and the pathway you use to get into uni also doesn't determine sucess.

As hard as this sounds try not be so hard on yourself. It is ok to get a lower mark than wanted. We are all human. But your determination to keep going will be your real strength. Remember high school is just a spec of what your life will be. Try not put so much pressure on yourself as it will make it harder. You can only do your best. I found when I stopped comparing myself to others then my marks actually went up and overall I was happier.

Hopefully hearing from others has been helpful.

You so don’t suck. I failed year eleven and struggled through year ten maths. I now have two lots of post nominals. If you really want to be a tosser like me you will be one day lol. I do feel for you though because when you say these things I can feel the hurt in your head. Some of us say the same things to ourselves but in reality, deep deep down, we know we are good people and that is worth so much more than math

hey Dude, never think you are the weakest, forget about the course you want to get in to, that's not current, that's future and many different situations will change between now and in 2 months time.
What you have to do is concentrate on what's happening now, you can't predicte your future, lots of different issues can and will change, sure you want to become a doctor, (for example)but there are other options to choice from if they are needed, get over this exam, think about what you have learned over the year, hey, that's all that matters right now, nothing else does, just put your head down and know that you can achieve what you're aiming for, you have it in you. Hi there,

It is now the day after your exam, hope you are doing okay. It can be really tough when our best just doesn't add up to where we want to be in life, the thing is, you have done your best! What more can you do?

Exams can be very stressful, they do not represent who you are as a whole person though. There is so much more to you than your exam results.

Are there other options you can take to still reach your goals? There is a saying that "when one door closes, another door opens."

For me, the thing is to not give up.

Would you like to share more about how you are feeling? This is certainly a safe place to express yourself.

Hi is,

I like Sophie's idea to change your title. You know there are times when all of us think that we have messed up. The thing is to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and try again.

We can learn from our mistakes and things that don't go so well for us. If everything worked out well, we wouldn't have an opportunity to grow and expand ourselves.

If you want to keep the I and S it could represent I Stand or I Strive or you could change it altogether!

Cheers from Dools
