Physical anxiety symptom

It has been about three weeks now i have been experiencing body muscle twitching on my arms, legs or stomach even on my temples. I have been to three different doctors and had some blood test done all came back normal. Now they are telling me it is from my anxiety. Can this be my anxiety? And how long does the body take to settle down from these symptoms. Have you had some other strange anxiety symptoms?

Hi Rose93,

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

Anxiety has almost an endless list of symptoms and as someone who has lived with anxiety for many years I can tell you I have experienced quite a few. The twitching is one I cannot say that I have found related to my anxiety but have felt random twitching too so it may very well have been due to anxiety. I can't say there is a time frame for the symptoms to supress but at the same time everyone reacts differently to anxiety. Have you discussed the anxiety with your doctor and thought of anything that may be causing this to be happening?

My best for you,

Jay

hi Rose, Jay is right, anxiety is different for everybody and you will personally have your own symptoms but these won't settle down until you sort out why they are happening.
I'm amazed one of these doctors hasn't suggested talking with a psychologist, because that's something that maybe of some help, and if you feel the same then you should go back to one of them and ask, it's not going to hurt by doing so. Geoff.

Hi Rose, I think it could definitely be anxiety, I have had previous experiences with shaking and what not. It's a really difficult thing to deal with. Are you currently speaking to a psychologist about what is going on? Is there any more support your doctors could offer you regarding this? I use an app for anxiety it's called Booster Buddy and is so cute and helpful, also gives you lots of tips on how to deal with anxiety and/or depression. Hope you're well and your symptoms subside too. Don't be afraid to ask for more help from your doctor. Sending you love.
