Hi ,
If someones reading this then thank you. I know life isn't easy and with depression, its even harder, is Suffered for one year then it sorta went away but after a talk with the counsellor at my school over a miss understanding it came back. I don't think my parents know that I have depression again. I told them once before via text but now it's so much worse. life is dull and even though I try to find the happy moments its so hard and I need to tell someone. my best friend is there for me all the time, she caring and knew about it before but now it's so much harder to say and more than ever I need to.
if you read this thank you all I need to know is that someone cares enough to help because I don't know how to speak anymore when it comes to this.
Sincerely Char 💐

Char welcome to beyond blue a safe place to tell it all if you wish. We wont think it silly or stupid. With depression it's the oldest still running roller coaster in the universe. You have your really great days where nothing can go wrong. Then there are the days even waking up is a bad idea. The trick is to learn how to laugh at yourself or others. have a sense of humor. It makes the jerney a hole lot more bearable. Do come back in when you need a pick up we may be able to help solve some dramas in your life.
Your friendly neighborhood Kanga

I wrote a letter. I left it for my counsellor, gave one to my mum and sent one as an email attachment for a psychologist.
I tried to capture everything, so they could understand me better.
Maybe you could too 🙂

If your parents have been told before then tell them again, but again this depends on what sort of support they provided to help you, if nothing was done then it's a decision you have to make, maybe another family member can provide the help you need to book an appointment to see a doctor.
What RoseJoy has said is definitely a great way to get the ball rolling, they will have the chance to read it before you go and see them, if that's what is going to happen, but I think it should.
Can you click onto 'Get SUpport' and scroll down until you see 'Publications to download or order from BB', it's a very informative booklet, not only for yourself to read but also for your parents, because now they really need to know more about what depression has the capacity of doing to you.
You need to realise that depression is always with you once you've had it, sure it may go away and so that you can live your life, but people do have relapses, and these maybe caused by some trigger that haven't been able to address or it's suddenly come without any warning.
Each time someone has a relapse they learn something new to avoid, because you just haven't become depressed for no reason, so please get back to us. Geoff.
