Hey Jess, welcome to the forums - you will find this place to be highly supportive and caring.

You can as much or as little as what you want. No one in here are clinicians meaning that we have all been on our mental health journeys at one time or another. There are many who are at the start of their journeys as well so you are not alone.

When you say that you are feeling bad, can you describe it a bit more?

I think it would be a great thing if you could book yourself into the GP and discuss how you are feeling. That is always the first step in recovering from a mental health illness.

Happy to chat away here but it would be great to have some more info about you and what you are feeling.

I was hospitalised and diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety in 2013 and have made a pretty good recovery so it can be done.

Mark.

Hi Jess2,

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

Well done for finding these and having the courage to post, some people struggle with posting so it is a great first step to feeling better.

MarkJT has given some great advice above and are you able to elaborate a little more one what is getting you down just so we can possibly give you some advice?

Please also remember you can call the Beyond Blue helpline on 1300 22 4636 24/7 to discuss any feelings you have.

This is judgemental free zone so feel free to post back if you wish and want to talk about it.

My best for you,

Jay

hi Jess, Mark and Jay have welcomed you as I do as well.
It is very difficult to open up to a group of strange people, but you're not because all of us have been through our struggles and even some are still having problems, so it's like a big group of people talking to each other, telling each other how they were able to overcome their depression or suggestions on what they think may help, so don't be afraid. Geoff.
