I don't even know.

I feel like I am going insane. I can’t think I can’t breathe
I can’t eat… at least not properly.
I either eat too much or not enough.

My head feels like it’s racing 100 miles per second and my
body is consumed with all these emotions; sadness, numbness...

Some days I’m more than great and I do anything I want
to do. Some days I’m the happiest person on earth. Other days all I want is to
roll up in a ball, binge watching movies and eating stuffing my body with
poison. (not literal poison)

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Am I just a “teenager”?

Is this just part of “growing up”?

I just want to feel normal.

I don’t even remember how that feels. Or means.

All I've felt in the past few months are horrible mood swings mixed with highs and lows..

I wouldn’t mind if the world decided to stop. To rest… to
just, take a break. I'm just overwhelmed at how fast the world seems to move.

Hi ah, welcome

It could be one of many reasons. We cant diagnose but you should see your GP.

Sometimes our minds need a helping hand. Its nothing to be ashamed of. Its no good going through life having an issue unresolved. It will effect relationships, career and socialising.

It could also be a temporary condition related to your age.

hi Alex, it seems as though the world is racing on around you and you're trying to keep up, but you can't, uncertain on how to jump on board and 'go with the flow'.
This won't happen if there is something holding you back, which you may know of, or perhaps have no idea, we can't pin point the reason, but can suggest why this maybe, and although you're posted in the young section it gives us a range of how old you are.
Firstly google K-10 test, it's where you are told if you have depression and if so, to what level, but do it at different times during the day, this will give you an indication whether or not you are suffering from depression.
I don't think that you could put it down by being a teenager, I think it goes much deeper than this, maybe social anxiety, being bullied, a r/ship problem and there are many other causes, but I'm only guessing here, but would appreciate if you can get back to us once you're done the test, in the meantime book a visit to your doctor, which means that one of your parents has to go with you, maybe that's the problem, but would love to hear back from you. Geoff.

Hi Alex

Sorry to hear you're struggling bit, I know how tough and confusing it can all be. I've recently been through it all myself.

As mentioned here, we can't really diagnose you as we aren't qualified professionals, but coming from a bipolar ii recently diagnosed person, it really sounds similar or a variant of mood disorders.

I strongly encourage you to make an appointment with your GP to discuss this with them. They will be able to diagnose you or refer you to a professional who can.

In the meantime I would keep a mood diary. The black dog institute has a great mood chart that you can download.

There are also apps you can download if that's easier.

Taking this in will really help medical professionals to diagnose you, as even if they suspect a mood disorder there are a few different types and without this it will be difficult to determine where you might fit.

I used this chart for two months straight and then once starting medication.

Hope this helps and take care x
