I guess I could say I have 1 true friend
today I found out I have to get braces and I already have had glasses sice I was 6 months old. I have one sister that ruins my life. I cry every day. No one knows except me sharing this here.
It's like having a knife cut up all your happiness and I feel gifted when I am happy.
My life is a reck and I am still crying

Hi Kic!
Tell me about this friend, do you feel really supported? 🙂
I have had braces for the last 26 months. I hated the idea of it. I was so nervous and was scared about the pain and what people would think but honestly the pain was so little, no one noticed, if anything they praised me as my teeth straightened and I learned to love them over time. I have glasses too, there is nothing wrong with them, just think they are there to help us. 🙂
Tell me about this sister, what does she do?
That is awful, but I want to help you see some positives that you have in your life. What are some other positives?
Francesco.

Hi Kic
Well done on opening up and getting some support here in the forums. Sounds like you're having an awful time. Sorry to hear that. 😞 It's good to see that you can see at least one positive... Doesn't matter how many friends you have, just that you feel supported by that friend.
I had braces when I was 12. Braces when I was already going through so much was a tough ask, but no one ever teased me about them... and this is going back some time - I'm 34 now. I can remember feeling like "Why me?!" and it certainly didn't make me feel very confident at first but I did get used to them. Maybe give them a go - you can get cool coloured bands/braces now.
I wear glasses now too, but squinted and put up with horrible eyesight for ages. I now can't use computers without glasses. Have you noticed how glasses are cool now? Suddenly even those who don't really need them are getting a weak prescription just to fit in. That's why companies like Specsavers are doing such great business at the moment.
What is the age gap between you and your sister? Is she younger or older? I have a younger sister and theres a 7year gap. Oh my gosh... it was awful. She would take/borrow/use my things without asking all the time and I was such a private sensitive person. It was so annoying. I got good at hiding things!
