How to deal with depression during pregnancy

Wren10

Hi guys my name is Wren, I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant and I’m depressed due to my relationship status with the father of my child. He’s on holiday now in Cambodia, he’s not sending me messages while he was there even if he’s online. He’s ignoring my messages. When I opened my Facebook I just saw some pictures of him with another girl. I asked him who’s the girl on the picture and he said it is just a friend. But I know that it’s not true, I feel that they are having an affair. I keep sending him messages but I don’t have any luck I didn’t get any reply from him. Can you help me guys? I’m totally down and depressed at the moment.

Hi Wren,

Honestly, that sounds awful. Now I have a question, he is trying or do you think he will actually be of a father figure to the child? Because if so, he really shouldn’t be out when you need someone, especially with other girls, if not, while having to respect his decision, he’s still horrible for just leaving you like that, he doesn’t seem like a good person, especially if he’s not answering your questions, it’s your right to know if he is with other girls. Do you know when he’s coming back? Maybe you could let him know that you’re not ok with that then.

For the meanwhile, do you have anyone else to support you? Any family or friends who you could talk to about this? I’m sure they’d be able to help you out.

Let me know if you need any advice, or just want to talk,

Sam

Yes. I’m with my mum at the moment. She’s helping me out, taking care of me. But my mum is old enough and I don’t want her to be stress also on my situation. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know when is he coming back. I just don’t know what to do. I love him so much, I tried to understand him.

I’m glad you’ve got someone to support you, I get the feeling of not wanting your mother under stress, and I guess as a mother you do normally help out a lot, but if you ever feel bad, maybe give her something, or just say thanks, things like that will always help, for her and I’m sure it’ll make you feel better, I’m sorry this is a tricky situation, I’d try to figure out when he’s coming back, or maybe start making plans, to what you want to let him know, or how this whole things going to work if he’s acting like this. I get you love him, and sometimes that’s the hardest thing to know that they don’t really return it back to you, trying to understand his point of view will always be hard, especially when they aren’t speaking to you, it really sucks, especially as he’s a supposed “father” which, really should be more his responsibility to come and support during this.
