I found Beyond Blue and then forums, by searching for help writing to a son in Prison (on remand). I am in my 60's and was just lost for words, trying to write to him. I found a very helpful post, so thank you. I may post sometime, but for now, it's wonderful to be able to see other posts about this subject and how to deal with the situation.
Thank you!

Hi Cactuss, welcome
I'm glad you found something to assist you. If you use search "sons incarceration" it should display a long thread for you to read.
I worked as a prison officer for 3 years some 40 years ago. I know how important mail is for inmates.
Well done
