Hi Jacks101
Welcome and good on you for posting too!
I 'feel' your pain having a back injury.....as some people dont understand how painful it can be..
Can I ask how you damaged your back?....
You are not alone here as there are many people (like me) that have struggled to find the motivation or a reason to get get out of bed....especially when we cant work....You are not alone Jack
I used to have severe anxiety to the point where I couldnt leave the house....with a bulging disc...it was awful
The forums are a Safe and non judgemental place for you to post Jacks101. I started on the forums in 2016 when I was made redundant from a really good job and was a real mess. There are many gentle people that can be here for you too Jack 🙂
my kind thoughts for your recovery
Paul

Hi Jacks, welcome and I'm very sorry about what has physically happened to you, leading you to feel this way with a sense of detachment, is not good, it isolates you and cuts you off but this isn't your fault, because with a back injury and being off work for 12 months makes your condition always wondering what the future is going to entail, this creates the 'what if'.
The break between when footy finishes to when it starts must seem to be a long time, and if you're a footy supporter well it is, so the time in bed would only be excruciating and making life to be boring.
Can I ask you if you are able to go swimming, it was great for me after my hip operation.
My best.
Geoff.
