stuck and in need of assistance

Like pretty much every day for the past few months, I woke up this morning crying my eyes out. I hate waking up like this and so much want to feel joy and optimism from life, but right now this black cloud just seems to be constantly overhead and it's paralysing me... I've sat here trying to write this for days since I joined here.

I've tried to see my GP and I've written to a local couselling service, but I have absolutely no money, not even enough to cover medicare gap, so it seems impossible to access any meaningful services.

Hi Naphrik

Well done for writing this post. You can post here and share your thoughts and seek support. It is free and there are good people with lots of experience with depression, anxiety etc that can help with simple tips and tricks. This site also has some good resources you can access. See the Get Support link below. I have used this service and found it incredibly good when I am struggling with an issue or just want to talk confidentially.

Well done and good luck with your progress

Hi Naphrik

I hope the cloud had lifted at least a little for you.

I also feel stuck and partly because i don't have the money to access support I know from experience would help.

Currently I'm not waking in tears everyday. I am on antidepressants which took away those very strong feelings of despair.

In my experience , those dark clouds do go eventually. It does sound like you need to see a doc. Perhaps Beyondblue can recommend a GP who bulk bills in your area? There are not many in my area but some of the kind ones will waive the charge if they know you are financially struggling. I have a GP who will do that - if I'm particularly hard up. I've never had to ask - which I can imagine would be very hard when you are feeling low to start with - it just comes out in conversation that I'm really stressed about money. If I didn't know the GP I would find it easier to ask over the phone.

Anyway - I've had similar feelings to you and they did go away eventually . I hope you can get the help to make them go faster !
