Hi, my name is Bob and this is my first post. I live with Aspergers Syndrome and part of the package with ASD is anxiety. I hope to learn much about social anxiety from Beyond Blue with a view to living a more rewarding life. Thank you for reading my post, hope to have much more to say in the future.

Hello Townsville.bob,
Welcome to the forums,
Anxiety is something quite a lot of us here at bb do struggle with, me included. There are many threads here that might interest you which relates to anxiety, feel free to take a look around and you may comment on any thread you feel you want to.
I have learnt a lot of helpful strategies her in these threads, I hope they also help you.
This is your thread now, to talk as much as you want to, you will find many more people will come in to welcome you and chat with you.
Kindness only,
Grandy

Hi and welcome bob;
You're one of only two people I've seen (with aspie's) posting on BB since I've been on board. A huge home-town hello from me!
Please hang around ok. Would love to chat one day, so don't be a stranger. 🙂

hi Bob, welcome to the forum.
I'm sorry that you have this and hope you can learn some information not only from us but also from the site as well a psychologist.
I wonder whether OCD is associated with your Aspergers Syndrome as this can happen. Geoff.

Don't be sorry my friend, I am pleased I am Aspie just like so many other; Bill Gates, Susan Boyle; Abraham Linkon and the list goes on an on.
Yes OCD is associated with Aspergers, I have the cleanest house in the block because I spend so much time going over and over. hahaha.
If I was able to remove two things from being Aspie they would be social anxiety and lack of communication skills.
Other than that I am happy to be Aspie.
