Hi Watched and welcome to Beyond Blue
It's good you've found your way to forums. Your sleeping sounds incredibly difficult. It sounds like there is something troubling you. That fear of being watched comes from a number of causes I'd imagine. Trying to find out what that is, may help your sleeping patterns in the future. It's good to talk with someone about how you feel.
Have you spoken to anyone about it? For example your doctor or a health professional, Or even a close family member or trusted friend.
Feel free to share more of your story. This is a safe place to do it. You're not alone Watched. Keep reaching out if and when you want.
Kind regards
PamelaR

Dear Watched~
Unless you have had an unpleasant experience of really being watched along those lines I think that PamlaR has the right idea, the feeling is caused by something else but just comes out in that particular way.
The trick is to find out what, so the cause can be treated. May I ask too if you have sought medical help over this? I'm no doctor either but when my anxiety/PTSD was really bad I'd start to imagine thngs along those lines. I'm not saying you have the same illnesses as me, just that a professional opinion would be appropriate
Do you think you would be able to do that?

Dear Watched~
I'm glad of your decision, it can be hard opening up to a stranger face-to-face, if in doubt write it out point form a day or so before and share the paper.
It will work out ok
