I been treated for an anxiety disorder since February 2017 and was getting better, but recently have taken a turn for the worse and I ended up going to the hospital this week just to get someone to see me. I was told the next day this was not the right course of action, but I did get a review and my case manager is looking at ways to help me.
I had a funeral for a relative the other week, which was hard.
I have not worked since September 2016 so money is a big problem and also finding something to do during the day. I have tried everything I could to manage. It seems to work for a little while, then stops working. I just start crying and cannot stop. I don't know what is wrong, I just get so bored and frustrated I don't know what to do.
I live by myself so I often get lonely and do have friends, but they have busy lives and none of them live near me.
I have been trying to manage by myself, but it is hard and also I have sleep apnea which I use a machine for so sleep is a big issue. I keep waking up so early and cannot get back to sleep.
That's all I can think of for now, look forward to chatting in this group.
Tim.

Hi and welcome Tim;
I congratulate you for having the courage to reach out on the forum...well done!
I see by your post there's isolation and loneliness to contend with in trying to manage your life. I hear you well and truly; I'm in the same proverbial boat.
Having money problems like many other issues faced alone, can escalate into 'confusication'! I made that word up for these types of situations. When experiencing depression or anxiety, the smallest problem solving can turn into a massive exercise in hair pulling, head shaking and emotional outbursts like crying.
Please don't feel you're alone with this ok. I consider myself to be well into my recovery, but still manage to screw things up. What matters, is you're self aware and are asking for help. That's a great step towards managing your mental health needs.
There's lots of info if you follow the links below, and cruising the threads may shed some light for you; please feel free to join the discussions.
I'm hoping you're able to find support in your local area or one close by. There are free financial advisory services thru banks or community services. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you sort thru your specific issues.
Lifeline (131114) and BeyondBlue (1300224636) counselling helplines are wonderful to speak with at those times you're feeling lonely or in need of another voice in the room. I put my phone on loud speaker to make it feel as if they're with me.
With your friends; do they know the predicament you're in? Maybe reaching out to them could help. I know this takes courage, so don't feel down if you can't. We're always here to talk to even if it does take a little time for a response ok.
Please take care and lean on us whenever you like...
Kind thoughts...
Sara (hugz)

Hi Tim and welcome,
Are you not working due to anxiety or is the anxiety due to not working and struggling financially? You're bored an frustrated, I know that feeling, are you able to look for work to ease the financial burden and keep you occupied?

Hi Tim,glad you found these forums and welcome ,I know how hard it can be to find and get help especially if finances are stretched ,in going to the hospital in my opinion was a good move ,if you are worried then quick treatment is the best way to go ,and please don't think the way they said" it was not the right course of action"was directed at you personally ,I believe that the medical establishment are stretched ,and they must feel frustrated also that's all.And it did end up with them looking at ways to help you so well done sara has given you some usefull links to use and also I echo the library can be a great source of help ie, cheap internet and some great resource books ,and it can get you out and in the sun too ,and into the community and the library usually has pamphlets on what other sevices are out there too,All my best,Ross.

Hi Tim,
I know how you feel. I think it's particularly hard when you don't have good social support 🙁
Are you looking for work? That can be tough and hard to keep the self esteem up during that process 😔
Sending lots of supportive vibes
