Hello,
I have been having a lot of trouble lately.
I see a psychiatrist but I don't know if it is helping.
I would like to make a detailed post to see if I can get some help on here, but I do not know where to do so, I feel as though my issues are not narrowed down to one subject...
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
I have anxiety & depression. I have control issues. Huge relationship anxiety. I am always in my mind. Constantly making stories & forming ideas that make me depressed. I question myself constantly. I tell me self it is OK one day and that something is wrong the next. I can't work out who I am. I don't think I like myself. I am worried that all these issues are going to affect my new relationship.
I am always online trying to work out ways to make myself better, but I feel like I'm just not enjoying life. I find it impossible to be in the now. Worst of all I am worried it may start affecting the relationship with my 3 children.
Please help.

Dear WhereDoIBegin
Hello and welcome to the forum. Firstly I want to reassure you this is a safe place to post and have a conversation about those matters that trouble you. It's OK to post in the Orientation forum but it can become crowded and your thread may get lost. May I suggest you post in the Anxiety forum. Not because I think this is your only issue but because it seems you are anxious about so many aspects of your life. People will be able to see your thread more easily this way. If you do repost in Anxiety please leave a message on this thread so I can follow you and so can others who want to respond.
Have you discussed these multiple issues with your psychiatrist? Without being intrusive I wonder what he/she has said about them. We are not qualified mental health professionals and I would not like to make suggestions that run counter to your psychiatrist. One suggestion I will make now is not to spend time online trying to solve your difficulties. Dr Google is OK when you are looking for basic factual information, though even that can be worrying. There are so many variables in everyone's life that the internet just cannot cater for the huge range. Please talk to your psychiatrist who is getting to know you and your own ways of managing. He/she can offer a tailored approach to help you.
Please feel free to write about whatever you need. While everyone may not be able to cover all your issues individuals can talk about separate issues they may have in common with you. How does that sound? Questioning yourself is something I know about as I do this frequently. I am much better these days but it has been a long process. I am happy to talk about this and the other matters you have mentioned.
I look forward to your reply.
Mary

Hello Mary.
Thank you for your reply.
I don't know how to link to another post, but I posted a topic called 'Struggling. Hopelessness.' in the Anxiety section.
I didn't realize there was a character count on posts. I had to go back through and limit it, I felt the post needed some history, so I have only really touched on how I am feeling, but it is a start.
Thanks
