Looking to find people to talk to

Hi
I am a 40 year old male that has had depression and anxiety since my teens.
I have for a long time tried to hide my mental illness from employers and others fearing they will not understand, at a point now I need to accept it and just need to find people with depression and anxiety to talk to and to try and get me through the bad times I go through.
Thanks and talk soon

Hi Rorsta79,

welcome to the forums. Slightly older than you and have depression. Most people in my life know that I have depression including my employer. At the time they did find out I was in a state of "I dont really care if they find out ..." At this time I was seeing a psychologist as well. Since then I have learnt a lot of things about myself, and have tools I can use when needed. Our experiences are all different and when you are low it is good to be able to reach out to someone. I will listen to you, and share my experiences as appropriate. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Tim
