Hey Bree!

A Warm Welcome to the BB Forums and thankyou for posting too!

Raising $2K for BB is a monumental effort. You also run a mental health website too! I have had severe anxiety for many years and now depression. Any input you can give us about bipolar would be appreciated. I am not very knowledgeable with bipolar but there are many wonderful people on the forums that are.

There is a great team under the BB Gender & Sexuality header, and also the LGBTI Cafe as well.

Your input and any thoughts would be welcomed Breeza!

Kind Thoughts for You!

Hi Breeza,

Welcome to the forum community! It's great that you love beyond blue's work 🙂 Good on you for running a mental health site!

I'm 23, I've had OCD for 10 years, and had an eating disorder at 19 (which I recovered from).

I hope you enjoy being part of this forum!

Best wishes,

SM

dear Breeza or do you prefer Bree, well it's a joy to have you on board, and want to thank you for your effort in raising that amount of money for BB, every penny counts.
There are so many different sections on this BB site which you might have encountered on your mental health website, but basically they all come back to the same problem and that's depression.
Hope to hear back from you. Geoff. x

Hey Bree, please allow me to add my welcome to those already received by the other lovely people here.

Congratulations on the fund raising and also the website - that's a huge effort and I'm in awe!

There's a forum on here named sexuality and gender identity, we talk about lots of issues that people like us are faced with in the GLBTI community. There's also a "cafe" there which is a thread called "The unnamed transcendent rainbow cafe" we can't settle on a name! Please feel free to drop by these sections and tell us about yourself and if your work is community specific we'd love to hear about it. If it's general work you do with the website then we'd still love to hear about it!

How has your emotional health been? Was it difficult keeping in balance while raising funds and working on the website?

Nice to see you. I hope to read more about you, your work and fund raising effort.

Kind Regards

Paul

Hi Bree,

I'm really glad to have you here. I hope to see you around these forums and would love to hear the stories that you might share with us. I love having other gay people about, especially those who understand the complexities of mental health. So please feel welcome...

Hey Rob & Paul!

Emotional health has been iffy lately I must admit however I have pulled back on booze, see the counselor more and try and aim to get to the gym approx 3-6 hours a week. So there's a light! 🙂 Absolutely I am happy to share any stories about LGBTI - can't wait to hear all of yours.

Thank you for your suggestions how awesome, I will check out the cafe!
