Hello,
I’m new here. I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD but I have had depression and anxiety since I was 14 (I’m 25 now) I’ve been in and out of hospitals off and on medication and there are times were I just get so tired. I think I have accepted I am never going to get better or be anything but a burden on people. I feel so lonely all the time and I am such bad nightmares which means I don’t sleep so I am exhausted a lot. I guess I am just tired of feeling like this

Hi Kat-1
Welcome to the forums and thankyou for having the courage to post too!
You have been through some tough times Kat.. I understand where you are coming from as I used to have chronic anxiety attacks/depression for a long time that effected my ability function on a daily basis...
You are not a burden at all Kat.....You are strong by being here! It took me weeks to get the strength to post my own thread topic
Can I ask how often you see your GP/counsellor for some support? I still see (Skype) my doc every few weeks for a 'tune up' since 1996
I do feel for you with being lonely and the nightmares...Do you have one or two people that you can talk to that can be there for you?
The forums have many gentle people that can be here for you Kat! ..any questions are always welcome...there is no judgement here...just the best possible support we can provide as per our own experience
my kind thoughts always
Paul

Hey Kat-1
Wishing you a warm welcome to the forums. It takes a lot of courage to be so open and honest with your feelings, and we are so glad that you have reached out here tonight. We can hear how tired and exhausted that you're feeling, but please know that you've come to a safe, non-judgemental space and our community is here to support you through this difficult time.
If you feel up to it, we'd also encourage you to reach out to our Beyond Blue Support Service, which is available 24/7 by phone on 1300 22 4636 or on Webchat 3pm-12am AEST on our website: www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport. One of our friendly counsellors will be able to talk through these feelings with you and can offer support and advice to help you through this.
In addition to this, please know that the lovely counsellors at Lifeline (13 11 14) and Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467) are available to you anytime, whenever these feelings become too tough to cope with.
Many in our community have also been through a lot in their lives and will be able to relate to what you're feeling. If you would like to post further, please feel free to tell us more about what's on your mind and how we can best help to support you through this.
