Hello Everyone.....New posters too!

Its more of a lighter topic for a change from me. I am currently using a 2006 Hewlett Packard Micro tower using the obsolete Windows XP Professional platform.I use my study looking out to my gorgeous garden whilst I am 'on the air'. I am curious what other people use ..whether a cell phone....laptop....PC....Apple...a tablet....an ipad maybe? And where in your home you are comfortable doing so

I am just trying to 'paint a mental picture' of what tool people use and where they post from in their home. The lounge room...in front of their television.....in the garden..home theater...in the car on a mobile phone? Help me paint a picture of where you are coming from so I can 'see' you

Just curious and thankyou for reading my thread too

Kind Thoughts

Paul

Hi Paul

When at home I'm on a laptop in my office that overlooks a golf club.

On the road my mobile phone.

Good morning Tony WK...Golf Course....Beautiful. I have a Sony Xperia Z5 and even though I am a tech head..the forums come up no worries but I cant get to the last posts without starting at the start of them. Anyway...If you can give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou Tony WK

Hi Paul,

I only use a PC which is set up in the study in our home. I do a fair bit of work at home, so its set up as a proper study, but if needed can convert to accommodate a mattress on the floor when grandkids come to stay.

I dont have a laptop, nor a phone capable of internet connection. So just the basic PC for me.

From my PC I can see out the window to the Western side of the house where there a lots of trees and shrubs to block out the harsh summer sun. Lots of little birds come and go and I even see the odd rabbit scampering past.

What an interesting question BlondGuy - here goes!

I have an Apple Mac, quite a large screen, supplied by my workplace...the 2nd bedroom in my unit has been turned into my "office"...although there's still a couch/converted to dble bed...one window looks out onto grass, few trees etc at the end of our block of units (I'm on the end) - the other onto my little back courtyard.

There's a dressing table with mirror in here too that holds my printer and serves as filing drawers - have family photos stuck up all over the place - at night with lamp on, it looks quite cosy.....can also fit a miniature DVD player beside the computer desk set up.....so if I'm doing something boring....I can watch a movie at the same time!!!............Can you see me now Paul?

Morning Sherie...same as me without the odd 'wabbit'...sounds peaceful

Hey Moon...workplace supplied Apple Mac...mini DVD player set up...family photos everywhere...does sound cozy and yes know I can 'see' you Moon 🙂

Hi,

I'm sitting at my Mac in the study-area of our house, listening to the radio. Usually the others in my household are in separate rooms - doing their own thing. By the afternoon, the sun comes streaming in directly , so the venetians are closed because there is too much glare. Sometimes I listen to music.

I'm sitting on my sofa with my phone. I like to use it most as its so easily accessible. Otherwise I use my ancient old desk top that is so slow and old (like me) but its still functional.

Hi Paul

I'm not technically minded. In a way I am, built my own caravan, understand basic radio stuff but modern computers and their needs drive me insane.

Like power cords, why my computer runs slow, unwanted advertising, and so on.

Stress. Good topic though mate

Hi Paul,

I'm on either a laptop or ipad sitting at the kitchen table or in the family room. I usually have a cuppa and the tv on.
