Hello!
I'm MoonWings, or Moon, and I'm new around here. I have already posted one thread, but I thought I might drop in here to say hey.
A little about me. I enjoy reading, and spend a lot of my time doing just that. I also enjoy playing video games, when I get the time, which isn't too often anymore. I love talking to people, however I struggle to do so face-to-face, so I'm hoping being on here might help me ask for help without being too anxious. I also have suspected Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and depression, and I'm hoping I can be officially diagnosed soon so I can start down the road to recovery.
Thanks for reading! Moon.

Hey Moon,
Welcome and I'm glad you've joined us as a poster.
What kinds of things do you like reading?
We just started a book club on the Social board and the first book we've chosen is "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. If you want to join us, please feel welcome to say hi!
What board is your other thread on (you can't post links)? I'd love to hear your story. We can always learn from each other.
James

Hi Moon,
Welcome!
Like you, I really enjoy reading. As James mentioned, there are spaces on this forum to chat about books, reading and other hobbies. I have lived with OCD for 10 years. When you see your doctor (or other professional) soon, hopefully you will get the information and support you need to start progressing towards greater wellness. OCD thankfully is manageable with psychological tools (such as CBT), the use of coping strategies such as mindfulness, and sometimes also with medication. The social and emotional support of family and close others is also important, as is the case in any circumstance.
I hope you enjoy being on this forum 🙂
Best wishes,
SM
