Hi everyone!

I am mostly new to these forums, I have been on here before, and I am very passionate about BeyondBlue, so I thought I would finally drop by and say hello!

I'm very familiar with anxiety and do currently take medication which has done wonders for me. I also see a psychologist / my GP when I think I need it, who are amazing and incredibly supportive. I have also lost a dear friend of mine from Depression a few years ago, and I actually raised $1500 for Beyondblue in honor of her. In my workplace I am a massive advocate about discussing mental health and I am thankful I work for a company where you can express if you are having a hard time mentally.

Anyway, I am here for support, talks, and to become more involved. I'd absolutely love to volunteer and contribute any way I can so I am glad I'm here and all signed up for everything!

Oh, i'm also really passionate about video games and music too.

Talk to you soon!

Hi 😊

I have only just found beyond blue today and after posting only once but reading through everyone elses stories it has given me a bit of hope after some dark times.

Well done for your work in raising money and wanting to help out. 💜

Hi GalaxyGirll and welcome to the forums. I look forward to seeing more of you on the forums.

I just posted in the youth cafe 🙂

I also am more open about my mental health however I am not overly open in the work place. I wait till I am settled into a perminate job before being more open due to fear of stigma. Unfortunately some workplaces still have a way to go in terms of this.

Good on you for raising money for BB. I am hoping to do so one day maybe through triathlon. I just volunteer my time with them on the forums and on bluevoice 🙂

Hope to see you around more

hello GalaxyGirl, well done for raising the money for BB a fantastic effort so thankyou, it's something that most of us would not have known about and $1500 is a massive amount.

I am also pleased that you are working for a company where mental illness is not hidden away, because telling a future employer whether or not you have had depression has always been a big discussion here on BB.

I'm deeply sorry for your friend passing away from depression, this must have been so upsetting for you, but somehow it's given you the need to help others, that's the push we need.

Your involvement would be what we are after to support us and to help other people who post a comment about their own depression.

Hello to Justanothermum and welcome to BB. Geoff.
