Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum so I'll introduce myself. I am a woman in my mid 30's & I have struggled with panic disorder for over 14 years now. In the last year I have lost 2 close family members and have found my health anxiety & panic has really hit its peak. I have lots of family & friends who support me but I'd like to chat with people who actually understand and live with an anxiety disorder day to day. Look forward to chatting to you all 😊

dear Belieber, I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your family members, something which is definitely going to cause anxiety
and panic disorder, but we can never prepare for this, even though we feel that at some stage we feel we will be able to, how
wrong is our perception, but we can't blame ourselves, because life takes us through so much enjoyment but certainly tragedy,
where some people have more of one than the other, and on this site it's all about sadness and despair.
Talking to those that have been through exactly what you have been through is certainly what we all want.
Our family /friends always say that the person you have lost is that they have had 'a good life', but that's exactly what
we don't really want to hear, because we want other people to realise that they were our best friend, or perhaps best support
and someone who we could rely on to help us and to give us advice that you trusted.
Anxiety disorder is something which disrupts our day and what we want to do, so it needs to spoken about, not only with us,
but also when you visit your doctor, who can put you on a 'mental health plan' which entitles you to 10 free psychologist
visits per year.

Thankyou for your encouraging reply geoff, it is much appreciated. I have been seeing a psychologist since early November and have found her helpful but the panic just keeps creeping out when I least expect it. I had been previously been feeling better but after my uncles death in june followed by the death of my nana 8 weeks later, I have found myself to be very health anxious & my panic attacks have been worse. Hoping that more sessions with my psychologist will help me further. Cheers, Belieber21 🙂
