Hi Amy, I can understand the feeling lonely- although for me if is feeling alone even though I have people around me. I hide my anxiety from pretty much everyone (including my Husband) and try to appear normal and "together".
Do you have any interests or hobbies that may have a social group you could join? Might be a good way to meet some people who have the same interests.

Hi Amy
Welcome to the forums and thanks for posting too!
You are a strong person by posting and good on you. Having depression/anxiety seems like a never ending illness but it can improve with ongoing counseling and support. I have had them for about 30 years and understand where you are coming from, and the lonely part as well. It can be a dark place to be in.
Depression/anxiety is the same as a broken limb or a serious infection. Can I ask you if you have seen a GP/Counselor on a regular basis? I can say that depression/anxiety does lessen in its severity over time and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Hi CJ, You seem to have the same happening as Amy. Can I ask if you have seen your GP about your anxiety? They can be a huge help to quietening your anxiety levels. What would your husband do if you told him? Just asking so we may be of more help to you:-) Great advice for Amy too!
Amy & CJ, you are more than welcome to post back as many times as you wish. There are super kind people on the forums that can be here for you:-)
My kind thoughts to you both
Paulx
