Depression and medication

Ballza
Community Member

Hi all...

Was just looking for some people’s stories on depression and what it feels like to them, how they cope with it and also changing medication???

Ive been using a certain type for 13 years but it seems to have stopped working, changed to a new one last night, not real sure how I feel about it though!!!!

Starting to think I don’t even need it, and weather I can carry on living a normal life without it!!!

Ive used a very low dose on the last brand.

Now started off on a very low dose of the new one!!!

Hope this makes sense, and I hope everyone is well..

Hi Ballza, welcome

I went through several. For me it was all about side effects.

It takes 6-8 weeks to take effect then if they aren't suitable, weening yourself off then trying another. In all a couple of years in total but its worth it.

Keep in contact with your GP. Be patient etc. But to stay off meds in my view should not be an option. Its easy to under estimate your condition.

Hi Tony!!!

I was very lucky that the first type I took worked... 13 years later different story, increasing the dosage didn’t work. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Started a new one last night, woke this morning feeling horrible... Uneasy on my feet, dizzy..

Makes things hard when you’ve got to go to work... Feeling a little disappointed by the whole process 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
