Hello and welcome to the forums,
Very sorry to hear about your mental health challenges and what you have been going through.
If I may ask and if you feel like sharing, do you have any support system (family or friends) and are you seeking any professional help for anxiety?
There are different techniques that you can try for managing and treating anxiety. It may also be helpful to track your triggers, seek therapy and talk to your GP about any medication. Also, eating a healthy diet, exercising, keeping connections and social life active can be really beneficial to cope with anxiety.
Happy to listen and support if you want to chat more...
Take care

Hello and welcome,
I just thought I’d mention the book The Brain’s Way of Healing by Norman Doidge. In it there is a chapter about a man named John Pepper who had Parkinson’s and devised a walking program that greatly improved his symptoms. I don’t know where you are at with symptoms, but I just thought it might provide some encouragement that things can potentially improve with neuroplasticity and retraining how the brain experiences and does things. My dad had Parkinson’s and I could see the effect it had on his mental well being over time. He did have some interests though that seemed to keep up his spirits and keep him more active and engaged with the world. Is there anything you are passionate about that you can engage with in some way? I know the organisations for Parkinson’s have some organised activities, like art or music or dance therapy. I don’t know if those are your things, but if there’s something you like doing it may help the brain and nervous system.
I understand it’s a really tough thing to deal with. We are here to chat anyway if you wish. It’s good that you have reached out and expressed how you feel.
Take care,
Eagle Ray
