Hi,
How do you find the motivation you don't have? Overcoming the fear you have when you leave the house? Getting rid of the feeling so inadequate you think the world is better off not dealing with the burden you bring to it? Wearing the mask every day that everything is okay, when it is not?
I am over wearing the mask, yet I don't know how to be myself and how can I be myself when I don't know who I am?
I suppose this is a good place to start, right?

Welcome and thank you for sharing your feelings. And yes...this is a good start. You will find lots of supportive people on here and who can relate to your struggles. Like me.....I know how you feel. I am doing quite well now because of the meds, but you perfectly described how I uses to feel a lot in my life.
Are you on medication? Have you seen a doctor or counselor? Medication helped me a great deal.
I hope to hear from you soon

kian, motivation is a tricky thing. Motivation only last a small amount of time then habit takes over.
The fear of leaving the house is one that is well documented on the forums. The more you leave the house though, the less the fear gets. If you can get the motivation to do it regularly, then it will become habit and the further you go from your house, the easier it will get.
Do you go out and then retreat back in? How far out do you get before the anxiety kicks in?
You do not bring a burden to the world, that is your brain playing tricks on you. You are showing signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety. As I am not a clinician, I cannot diagnose you with these but as is said above, have you seen a GP or a psych about how you are feeling? If you have not, I encourage you greatly to get to the GP and discuss it.
You can recover from this and you can lead a pretty good life. I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety in 2013 and had no self worth. I know exactly what you are feeling but i am now functioning really well so there is no reason why you cannot to.
Would be great to hear back from you and lets get you back up and about to have the life you so richly deserve.
Mark.

It's a program you can do by yourself or with someone helping you, to overcome a phobia, and in your situation, it's a fear of leaving the house.
Wearing a mask becomes too exhausting and certainly too hard to hold it up whenever you're out, not only do you get sick of pretending, you're are trying to prove to other people that everything is OK when you know it's not.
If you can use this program it will help you with relaxation exercises and then gradually approach your anxiety slowly, so that he will feel more confident.
Let us know how you get on. Geoff.
