Hi,

I haven't been keeping up much with the news - does anyone know when we can start going into our psychs for face to face appointments?

I need to see mine but don't want to do Skype session.

Hi tpman!

That is tricky. I think some psychs are still doing face to face but I'm going to be honest, a lot have moved to Telehealth (i.e. Skype, zoom and video chat). Is there a possibility for you to call your psychiatrist's office?

Here for you! 🙂

Hi tpman,

I am still seeing my psychiatrist face to face (although on opposite sides of the room). My psychiatrist assured me that this is allowed as long as we stick to the social distancing. He is offering skype telehealth sessions however I found that this didn't work well for me so am continuing to go in person. The office staff wiped down the door handle after I came in and advised me to go straight to the bathroom and wash my hands. After paying they wiped down the eftpos machine and got me to rewash my hands before leaving the office. It was all a bit strange but better than nothing. I would suggest getting in contact with your psychiatrist and see what they say.
