Dr says to give it a few weeks

I'm on a new SNRI (3rd AD we are trying to get rid of side effects), well it's not even that new anymore. I started it 3 weeks ago on a small dose, and the Dr just upped my dose a week ago as I was sliding rapidly backwards. I know it's only been a week but it's still getting worse not better. Should I go back early or try to tough it out? I'm normally good with Dr instructions but with the first 2 AD's we tried I had really good results quickly and it feels horrid to be like this again after feeling so good for a month.

dear Starz, personally I would go back to your GP, because you shouldn't be sliding backwards, but what concerns me is why do he/she change your AD if there were good results, maybe because you were on the maximum dosage, and were these SSRI or SNRI AD's.

This does intrigue me so please get back to us. Geoff.

All to do with the side effect of lack of sex drive and inability to orgasm on the first 2 AD's. Everything else felt fantastic, better than it had in years. But I thought I shouldn't settle for no sex drive and no orgasms so we wanted to keep trying different AD's to see if any would have the same positive effects but not the negative.

The first was an SSRI and I tolerated it very well and felt awesome, sleeping well, getting to sleep quickly, a nice gentle tiredness etc. Mood was good, I wasn't irritable or being hurt from absolutely nothing. The second was an SNRI as is this 3rd one we are trying.

Apparently this is a class side effect so this entire class of drugs may have the same side effect, but why not try a few was the initial thought. When I feel like this I am tempted just to go back to the SSRI I was first on and stick to it but I'd be cheating myself.
