Hello I am new here and need some advice, my husband is getting bad he suffers from, deep depression, mood swings, anxiety, and bipolar.
He abuses and whinges about anything and everyone, calls me and my son major names, calls people at shopping centers, neighbours, road rage etc, and getting worse.
He has just been awarded and received a large compensation payout which is all gone in one month, cars boats pokies etc, I and my son received a car but not a dear car, and have to sell our old cars and pay him back. He has also changed his pension so I don't get it and gives me half, so now I am struggling to pay the bills, as the money he received was his and his only so I was told by him, I also know he has done something that could land him in jail as he has made friends with someone, me and my son do not like, and he is leading him down the garden path but he will not listen to anything I say.
He has attended a physiologist for 11 years and to me shows no improvement and I am not allowed to speak to her at all.
His sisters will not help they just tell him when I say something to them, I am getting to old for this and have been married for 49yrs, but I can not go on like this, my son stays to protect me as he does get violent at times, he does not hit me anymore since my son hit him back.

Hi 49er,
My heart goes out to you. It is a hard situation and one that can make you feel like there is not out. Have you considered seeking outside help such as the Domestic Violence Line - google it and read what is available to help you.
While you figure out what to do, please stay safe.
