Hi Carmela
I hope you see this post.
You wrote a poem for your depressed husband. I've just read it and it's beautiful. I suffer from depression /anxiety. I have a lovely husband. Although he doesn't talk about his feelings much, he seems to have the same sort of thoughts as you. Somehow your poem lifted me a bit. It seemed to say that even the difficult times had their beauty. No matter what my husband says I always feel like a burden when I'm ill. So thank you.
Helen x

Thank you Helen for your lovely comments. I am so happy that I was able to bring some hope to your day. Depression is a shared experience with couples. I do not find my husband's depression a burden but one that allows me to dig deep and find courage and strength that l thought l never had. On the days that my husband is well, he never forgets to tell me how much he loves me and thanks me for hanging on. This is what keeps us together. Helen when you have your good days, give your man a cuddle and just be with him. I am sure he will truly appreciate it. Sending love to you both.
