What is really going on here & to what point?

why am I forced into a world to endure violence, depression, genocide, capitalism, manipulation, exploitation, censorship, trafficking, war, hedonism, anti socialness, exclusion, hierarchys, enslavement, mental health crisesis, epidemics, narcissists, cost of living, idiocracy, greedy, atrophy, ageing, suffering, lonliness, status quos, fakesness, starvation, hypnotisation, propaganda, lies, deceit, looks maxing, gambling, substances, debating, limited freedom, working, scams, repetivness, denialism, illusions, delusions, fantasy's, lack of affection, self righteousness, selfishness, robotic syndrome, abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, brainwashing, institutionalised, trauma, competition, indoctrination, surviving, ai etc.

Given to the above, as a sentient being, what ultimate reason would be to subject another sentient being into existence that gives yet takes?

I'd appreciate if someone could answer this reasonably with no emotional tapons connected.

Hi Clownworld,

Welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out to us.

You are right, it is a very difficult world to navigate, there is so much that is wrong in our world but I don't believe it is all bad. I know when things look bleak it can be hard to see the wood for the trees, it sometimes comes down to what you choose to see and experience.

There are several things I do to protect myself from the negativity, the most important one by far for me is not listening to, watching or reading the news. The way the world is at present, the news can depress you in the first few moments and much of it is fear mongering that is designed to manipulate the masses. I turned off my tv a couple of years ago and now just read books and listen to podcasts that relate to things I am interested in. I also find social media to be something to avoid for the most part. There are a couple of groups I am a member of but I avoid being on social media for any length of time. You can spend hours there if you are not paying attention and much of it is also quite negative.

It sounds like perhaps you need to refocus your attention on other things, like nature, to balance out the negativity that surrounds us. Perhaps a walk on the beach or in a forest or park to remind yourself of the beauty that also surrounds us. I know what I am suggesting doesn't necessarily fix anything, and sometimes it is not easy to get out of the negative mind set, but it does give your body, mind and spirit and chance to reset and calm down which has to be a bonus amidst the chaos we live in.

I don't know if this helps, but I sincerely hope so.

Feel free to keep the conversation going if you wish and take care of yourself.

Hello, thanks for the response

Sure you can choose what to believe in for the comfort zone, tangibility, easier to remain in the bubble than to step out & see for what it really is right, like going for walks in nature etc, yea may seem fun & dandy, you get that old good serotonin, dopamine to filter out the ugliness, & besides when did you ever needed tv & the media to figure what was going on around us, i mean if you say you gotta protect yourself from negativity then doesnt that say alot.

So I'll ask again whats a really good reason to subject another being into life.

Thank you

I could give you a spiritual response (not talking about religion), that we as souls choose to have this experience on earth for growth and learning. There are times when I have asked myself what I was thinking, but I do the best I can to find the positives and not dwell in the negatives. It all depends on what you believe.

I don't avoid those things because of a need to protect myself, I do them because I made a choice over 50 years ago that I would not subject myself to the manipulation.

Here are perhaps a few reasons to bring a new life into a chaotic world:

Love, kindness, affection, experience, purpose, laughter, fun, feeling the sunshine, smelling the flowers, seeing the beauty in nature, the majesty of the ocean, animals, the sound of birds, the beauty of a butterfly or dragonfly, playing games, swings and slides, I could go on, but I won't.

All of the things you mentioned are very real, but so are things that I mentioned. We live in a world of duality, for every negative, there is also a positive. Like I said, it comes down to a choice of what you choose to experience.

Be kind to yourself while you are sorting through this dilemma,

Hi Clownworld

I believe one of the goals in life is to question as much as possible, especially that which is highly questionable. Questioning is the first step in the quest for change. What steps follow can be a matter of choice, in regard to what action we take beyond simply questioning.

I heard someone mention just the other day how so much of what once remained in the dark is now coming to light or having light shed upon it. It's definitely not pretty, to say the least, to now be observing so much of what is oppressing, suppressing, depressing and more. It's one thing to feel such things as unbearable, it's another to take action to stop that which is unbearable (for others or ourself). Like indigo22, I avoid the news as much as possible. Whatever news is meant to reach me will reach me, such as that which will directly impact me. Mainstream media's goal is to horrify, anger, leave us feeling helpless and hopeless. Rarely is it there to inspire and this includes inspiring change. How often are you going to hear from mainstream media 'This is how you can help stamp out child abuse....' or 'This is how you can help men who are trying to survive domestic abuse situations at the hands of a partner...'. If we wish to change something, the goal is to seek it out (whatever it may be that we hear call for change). While we can cease watching or listening to mainstream news, we are still free to research what we wish or need to hear.

A sentient being is designed to sense, to feel. I think when sensitive people feel collectively, it becomes about movement. A certain movement is formed. Whether it involves the movement to stamp out corporal punishment in schools in Australia (which was achieved), the movement to give minorities the right to vote in this country (which was achieved), global movements such as the Me Too movement, the Black Lives Matter movement, the movement against institutional child abuse or something else, we tend to move in numbers. When things are brought to light and what we finally see leads us to feel anger, feel sufferance, feel injustice, feel intolerance and more...we tend to move faster. We're not designed to be left to feel alone or feel progress at a snails pace. Such things can feel depressing. While there's little power in a drop in the ocean, there's great power in a wave. The question becomes what wave or movement do we want to become a part of? There is where we may find one of our reasons for being here. Btw, without sensitive people, there would be no one to feel the need for change. If we were all insensitive, who would there be to sense what's wrong? Sensitive people are here for a reason. Mastering our ability to sense becomes one of the greatest challenges and goals that we face.
