Warning maybe triggering or depressing
you call /chat for help , if your at risk or someone thinks you are the cops or ambulance are called, they keep you to one side of the ER for up to 8 hours then let you go, back into what ever caused you to be in the ER in the first place. Its not the workers fault they do what they do with what they have. Its the government playing withd peoples lives. Its too much money to do anything else. To find out what needs doing and do it. so those like me are left in our holes. What are the answers besides suicide ??

Hi There, so true what you are saying. There is never an easy answer and it can sometimes feel like you are never on the top of any priority list. Can I ask a forward question please, what does need doing in your life?
I hope you are doing okay and we can chat further

End of 2020 I had a fun little ER trip as well, done some things I’m not proud of. I was there for about the same amount of time too over night. Their reasoning is usually a bit more complicated, at the time they were worried the PECC unit would trigger my symptoms further so they sent me home, back where the problem was created. There wasn’t a good choice to be made, so they saved the spot for someone else while doing what they felt was best for me, I can respect that. Did they send a team out? I got interviewed at home a few days later and they referred me to an amazing psychotherapist. I’m not going to lie and say I’m fixed, but I haven’t harmed in over a year and actually want to live for the first time I can ever remember.
Basically, trying to end it doesn’t achieve what you would think. I had people close to me who tried repeatedly, know people who actually did it, hell I’d add myself among the former - it rarely works and when it does, it wreaks havoc on everything left behind. It isn’t a permanent feeling, even if it has been up until now. Changing your habits, environments, relationships changes your situation. Become healthy and build healthy relationships just to be sure it’s what you want and not a product of your circumstances.

Hi carer1
May sound a bit strange but being a gal who's a major feeler, sensitive to feeling so much, I'm gradually coming to learn how to constructively get a feel for life and its experiences (the depressing experiences included). When it comes to the mental health system, I can't help but feel its broken aspects. I think we can feel what doesn't work, what is depressing - such as a hospital system that is more so geared to help with physical well being rather than mental well being. I agree with you, many hospital staff do their best under the circumstances but as circumstances change and mental health becomes more of an issue than ever before, hospitals and staff are stretched beyond their abilities, including the ability to offer the right amount of time to make a difference to people who can't cope without the support.
Personally, what I'd like to see are modern day hospitals designed specifically for mental health support. A place that you could walk out of feeling relief for having visited would make a world of difference for some. A place where you could walk out of feeling like you weren't regarded as an 'inconvenience' would be a blessing. A place you could rely on to help you reform your chemistry (with or without meds), your internal dialogue, your perception, your level of self understanding etc would be incredible. Even if it's simply a place which offers a time out when life gets dangerously depressing could make all the difference to some.
I found, during my 15 or so years in depression, while there were a lot of constructive aspects within the mental health system, there were also a lot of destructive and depressing aspects. The destructive and depressing ones are well overdue for a good ironing out. I agree with you when it comes to government support and funding, especially when asking the question 'Why are we not ranked #1 in the world when it comes to mental health?'. There has to be a reason. I suggest there are many.
