The early teen years can be so hard. I tried to harm myself when I was 14. I was very lucky I got help in time. Don't do anything you will regret. Suicide is forever and you have a lot of future ahead of you. So many things can change.

Talk about why you are feeling this way honestly with your family and mental health professionals. They will help guide you through this difficult time.

Hi Hb5598,

Thank you so much for posting on here. I'm really sorry to hear how much you are struggling. It's a very challenging age you are at, as everything can feel particularly intense.

Do you have any sports you play regularly? Anything to get you out of your head. There are also things like skating and scootering if team sports are not your thing. I started skating in my teens, and it really focuses your mind, as falling hurts, so you really concentrate.

Is everything ok at school? Are there any subjects you particularly like/dislike?

Also, do you have any artistic outlets? Do you play any instruments, or like any visual art styles? All the best,

Hello Hb5598

I'm sorry to read that you are struggling this much. Very brave of you to reach out and express yourself. That alone you should be proud of.

I remember being 13. That's when 'My Dark Mistress' and I started dancing regularly. No doubt you and I have different circumstances surrounding and leading up to said depression. All I know is that my teenage years were very difficult for a variety of reasons.

I may not be able to help or offer anything that resonates with you personally but you've come to a great place. Help and assistance is everywhere and we all want you to discover your spark.

Reaching out, seeking advice and asking for help is the best first step. Try and focus on that as a positive. Also, any creative outlets, hobbies, school classes you enjoy. use them as a conduit to express yourself, heal and evolve.

I for one used writing as mine. Over the years Ive written thousands of poems. many for my eyes only.

You can do this. You are stronger than you realise.
