Hi everyone! New members are always welcome to post too 🙂
There is no doubt that cellphones are a super invaluable tool in our social lives. There can be times though when we dread our mobile phone ringing...vibrating or beeping. Especially when we under stress or are experiencing even low level anxiety/depression
The health benefits are many as we are not on 'standby' for an incoming call that may or may not occur
Please let us know if and when you turn your phone off and why
- Having some peace of mind?
- Healing from ongoing anxiety/depression?
- Wanting to enhance the quality of your sleep?
- Just having time out for yourself?
my kind thoughts
Paul

Hiya 2quirk , Paul and all.
2quirk not as serious as an abusive ex chasing ya but yeah , for a lot of other reasons l find them incredibly intrusive too , been bad times where the flash of a call or message if it's in eyeshot , mines always on mute too, will literally send shivers down my spine.l'm also a very private person and often a bit reclusive but l just often feel to that anyone can find me or disturb me with the phone, even on mute and l hate that feeling. l often get nervous checking who a message or call is from and what it's about.
Eh paul , yeah l often turn mine off too just to be free and at peace for awhile. l leave it in the house a lot too while l'm out at work
lt's a funny thing really , in ways l'm sort of addicted through the convenience now, like most people these days to tho, so l've got a bit of love hate goin on tbh.

Hey RX
always a bonus to have your input, not to mention your honest post above! Good on you
You are spot on with how addictive (convenient) cell phones can be....I am working on a 10m x 1200 retaining wall at home and am using the Stingray Music App through a MegaBlaster bluetooth speaker (Logitech) .....My incoming calls are muted and when I have a break I check for any missed calls and then choose who to call back....Sorry if that sounds arrogant....but its what I do. Just like yourself RX...I am a realist
If anyone really needs to talk to me they can knock on the door 🙂
you rock RX
