Was watching, "The Voice" last night and there was a young lass who didn't leave the house for two years because of panic attacks, how here she is on National TV singing in front of four judges.
I sat back and thought that even if no one turns around and picks her, she has already won - what a brilliant achievement that was.
What is your biggest achievement?
Mine is overcoming PTSD and functioning quite well but the mental health conditions aside, I would have to say completing my first marathon. A pure punishment of the mind and body and I completed this in the early days of my recovery when i was quite wounded and struggling.
To be able to push myself to complete it gave me a massive burst of confidence that I can overcome the PTSD beast and get on with life.

Regaing my long list confidence as a student. Next step? Defending my long lost confidence and DIGNITY as a student. I'm about to report two teachers in a well renowned VET institution who are in very high up positions, for criticising, insulting and accusing me of blaming other teachers for problems when all I did was describe how my own teachers amd I were all trying our best to help me pass my course despite the utterly impossible timetable I was given (two courses to be taught in a night time fpexible class and one structured class to run in the same timeslot for the entire semester)
(Sorry MarkJT that I replied to you I didn't mean to. I was meant to reply to the post itself, I'm on a mobile device and I'm new to these forums.

Waydress, no apologies required mate.
It is great that you have found your way to these forums. They are a very safe and caring place to be.
I do not know the ins and outs of your situation so cannot really comment on it but i will say that you regaining your lost confidence and dignity is huge.
I know what it is like to lose all self confidence and what a difficult road it is to build that back up so that is brilliant. Very happy for you.

Over the years I have done many things for myself and for my family, often where I though they were great or momentous achievements in my life. Looking back, and with the benefit of hindsight, all those things pale in comparison to the day I saved my friend's life ... from suicide.

Heather, your side of the sex's are one hell of a remarkable creation. I can guarantee you that if i am reincarnated as a female and i remember my previous life, not a chance in hell would i ever consider having a child. Nope no way, no chance.
It is one hell of an extraordinary achievement.

SubduedBlues, yep no greater achievement than saving someones life. You can forever know that you did that and be highly proud of it.
To have such an impact on someone, wow - monumental.

9 names later, yes mate i am going pretty well. I am very fortunate to have recovered quite well and although i still have bad days, they are generally only that - one or two days.
Thanks for checking - appreciate it.
I like how you want to change your name, although i do not know the meaning behind it, i like how you have recognised that you do not like it and are taking steps to change it. Positive stuff.
