Hey to anyone reading this.
Last night I had an idea about starting a new thread about exercise especially walking. I am aware that walking is very beneficial for our mental, emotional and physical well being. And by actually doing it....well it can make a huge difference to how we cope with the storms that we face in life.
OK, I am not real good at disciplining myself to walk, and have to really push myself to do it. And sometimes it is even hard to leave this bedroom. Anyway I am not a beginner walker, as I have stuck to sort of a plan before. So I know that it does make me feel somewhat better. But I only stayed on the plan for a couple of months, then gave up.....for whatever reason. So here I am again wanting desperately to not fail this time.
So I guess this thread is for anyone that does walk, anyone that is struggling to walk because of depression or anxiety issues. And anyone else really......
I am unsure of the outcome of all this. But my ideas included: Sharing about things we have found out about exercise especially about walking. Writing down the reasons that one would chose to walk ( like something to help motivate). Being accountable in same way. Sharing about the places where we actually do walk, like the beach, gym, around the block, with the dog, out to the clothesline and back. And any other useful tips that could help others. So here we go......

Yes you did write several creative bits.
I have read it all again and pulled it apart (are you a teacher, a pastor?, feel free to answer that or not )
This is what I come up with this time.
Simple pictures....yep get that
Males fighting and females Co operating... Yes understand that.
What may the little girl have in her pot to slay the giant solider? She could also have a hidden collection of stones and a sling in there.
Could the girl have spiritually the same thing in her pot as he had in his sling? Well I would say she could have God's strength in the pot, maybe trust, maybe love. God's word (the sword of the spirit)
Would the girl give food to Goliath to save his soul and cure him from violence? My way of thinking is only the Lord Jesus can save our souls. But she could kindly offer him food with God's love shining from her eyes. Goliath saw the shining love. Then wondered about it because it was like nothing He had ever seen before. Such a pure beautiful light shining into him. It soften him and a part of him wanted nothing to do with violence anymore.
As to the cure of violence... All things are possible to those who love God.
And the last paragraph... mmm thinking about this one. I know it would have been a grieving and very sad time when mankind was sent away from the garden. Not sure about horror. Possibly.
And my understanding is Jesus himself is the restorer, not the little girl.
So David I have no idea if what I said was what you meant or not. I do tend to think deeply about things when my mind is clear. You did inspire me to read it all again though.

Would it be normal for a girls pot to have stones and a sling in it?
Aussie soldiers face
situations similar metaphorically.
Gods word, the sword
of the spirit, cool man. Gotta respect a weapon created by the most powerful being in the universe hey!
Yeh, I got some nice
head tingles from your longest paragraph about love shining from her
eyes. Shucks, very nice, I do like head tingles.
But… I once chose
not to continue seeing a woman because I found out that the shining
in her eyes was caused by an addiction.
If I loved God with
all my heart, body, soul and mind, could I extinguish our local Star?
Thanks for feedback
about the word horror. Cheers mate.
As to your
understanding about Jesus as the restorer, rather than a little girl,
thank you for sharing. What lens is your most used lens to examine
such things?
I am deeply satisfied that I have inspired you with my posts. Thanks most especially for sharing that, I hope it was brutal honesty.

Hi
I guess I see ( my lens) life as a child or daughter of the loving heavenly Father. Though when I seem to be in the dark place, which I absolutely hate being in. I think I forget this.
And yes you did inspire me with your posts about the 2 pictures. Made me think more about trust, ie Young David trusted God no matter how big the issue (the giant) that he found himself up against.

Shelll, you may be interested to discover that even David's brothers did not trust him. David, according to his brothers should not have even approached the soldiers camp site.
But of course David was merely obeying his fathers instructions to take food to his brothers, so he knew internally he was doing the right thing.

Hi all,
I got out there and went for a walk on the breakwall again. So very glad I walked. Even sat on Comfy Rock for a little while. And a saw a few black common dolphins in the port.
Thankyou David'n'goliath.

You're welcome Shelll. I imagine the feeling of forgiveness David had in his heart about his soldier/brothers rejection of him when taking that food to them as an obedient son.

Hello to you Shell, david "n" Goliath and All Reading,
I have enjoyed your discussion over the last few days about your beliefs. I have just been a bit distant and have not joined in.
Last weekend my husband attended a location here in S.A. that is deemed an exposure site for covid 19 so we are now in 14 day home isolation/quarantine. Yesterday we spent almost 8 hours at a Covid testing place. Towards the end I had a panic attack which was not very nice for my husband to deal with! Usually I hide away from him when that happens.
I'm very thankful we have a large garden for me to sit in and walk around in. There are millions of weeds growing so I could pull up a few of those. As quarantine is different from a lock down we are not able to leave home apart from a medical emergency or our day 5 and day 13 covid test.
I will walk about in the garden and be very thankful I am not shut up in a medi hotel somewhere having to isolate. I will miss my walks out on the roads and the beach so will have to be inventive with spotting different things in our garden as I wander around.
Cheers to you all from Dools

G'day Doolhof, I am thankful you have enjoyed our discussion lately, thanks for mentioning that.
I learnt a thing from my wife sometime ago about ecology. Weeds are defined by the gardener! So my natively conservationist wife uses an extremely local version of the definition of "Weeds".
Anything brought over from outside of australia, that's a weed!
Pine trees, yep she hates them passionately, they're weeds.
So too salvation jane and lots of others.
But i'm like, Pine trees rock, they smell nice, they look great, they give birds a place to nest, I used to climb pine trees and I have to admit my bias as a pro-pine kinda man!
Alas, i waffle on a bit here. What weeds can you viciously remove from your garden? Pluck those damned weeds out! lol.
have a good day, i welcome any and all of your replies, dng.
