Hi everyone..
Their are days when just getting out of bed is a huge achievement...Other days we can achieve things like washing up the dishes or clothes, sweeping the floors, mopping the floors..very mundane and automatic robot like chores for the mentally well...They do these chores without even thinking about them...for people struggling with their mental health..these are huge tasks...
Very often I’ll get my vacuum cleaner out to vacuum ...then it will sit their for days, me looking at it, walking over it...until I can get motivated enough to vacuum..after I do find the motivation to vacuum...I am pleased with myself...
Right now I have a small foot cycling peddle machine, sitting on my front veranda..I got it out last week..to start exercising..it’s still their, I’m still looking at it...My thoughts each night is I’ll use it for a few minutes tomorrow..
My car hasn’t been washed getting close to a year now I think...Today I did managed to wash it....and discovered that it has a nice shine on it.....I did it...I achieved something positive today..which made me feel better in myself...
Have you achieved a little something today...and how did it make you feel...If you want to share that achievement it might make other people a bit more motivated to achieve something they need/want to do..
Looking forward to hearing about your achievement....and how it made you feel..
Little steps and achievements can lead to bigger steps..and bigger achievements...
My kindest and most caring thoughts...everyone.
Grandy...

Hi Grandy,
That also sounds like a massive accomplishment - what a huge day. I seem to be the only person on the planet who doesn't own an airfryer but dinner sounds great. Pumpkin baked in an oven until it is all caramelised and crispy on the ends is one of my favourites. YUM.
I had a small achievement yesterday that feels like a massive accomplishment too. I belong to a martial arts school that I absolutely love but haven't been able to force myself to attend for weeks. Last night I finally forced myself to go ... and had a fabulous time. Sometimes our illnesses do absolutely evil things to us - preventing us do the very things we love. 😞 Nevermind, that's why we're all here - and some days we win.

Hello Everybody 🤗
Grandy, that sounds like such a full day with the cardiologist appointment and time on the treadmill and then making dinner. Well done! Like Happy Sheep I don’t have an air fryer either but they sound so good and convenient. I think it was last night that a new Jamie Oliver show started on air fryers. I didn’t see it but should have a look. Grandy your description of the crispy pumpkin and fried chicken is making me hungry. Yum! 😋
Happy Sheep, well done on getting to the martial arts class. It’s so true that our depression, anxiety etc, whatever we are dealing with, can keep us from activities we enjoy and get benefit from. It’s so good when we find we can do something we love again. I’m thinking how both you and Grandy did something physical, the martial arts and the treadmill, and how that can sometimes enliven us and shift things in the body. I find managing mental health seems to be a balance of needing down time and rest which are often essential, but also periods of mobilisation which is kind of like the body in recovery/restoration mode. It’s like we keep needing to balance out those two things.
My small achievement which was actually from yesterday was cleaning out the small tidy bin I put kitchen scraps in that goes into the organic waste bin the council collects. I had just been emptying it and not cleaning it properly for a while so there was some mould. But it just felt too hard to do that small task. It is funny how such a small thing can feel hard to do. Now it is done I feel better.
Wishing everyone a lovely day with lots of hugs 🤗💖🌼

Hi beautiful people,
Working from home and it started with drizzle and it’s getting chilly.
I made myself a nice hot brunch of pizza puffs. Anyway that’s what I call them. Years ago when my children were younger, they were available in the frozen section of the IGA.
They were really just, puff pastry filled with pizza/tomato sauce, cheese and bacon or ham. I started making them myself for the kids and they were actually really good and even better than the ready made ones.
The flaky puff pastry is delicious filled with anything, sweet or savoury. I made enough for dinner too, so that’s me done.
The air fryer craze was doing my head in, but they are definitely worth it if cooking for one or two people. They are just a small bench top fan forced oven. I am thinking of getting one for my son who lives alone to encourage him to make meals at home for himself rather than Uber eats. He has a perfectly good oven but doesn’t like cleaning the stove top.

Hello everyone…..🤗,
HappySheep, Well done attending a favourite sport of yours that you love…It’s a sport that I enjoy watching…I did Judo back when I was younger, that was another life time ago now… That would have been a really hard step to go back to your martial art school..you done it! and you enjoyed yourself!….Do you think you will go again?…
You are so right HappySheep, about our illnesses doing evil things us…and making it near impossible to do the things we enjoy….You won this time….Depression 0…HappySheep 1…
Eagle Ray, I need to do my bin, even though I put plastic bags in it, somehow the scraps miss the bag and find their way under the bag and on the bottom of the garbage….I pretend not to see what’s under the bag…
I went to work today after having some time off due to my mental health…..It was raining and cold which meant only a few customers….I was pleased when it was time for me to lock up the shop and go home…
Wishing everyone a lovely night tonight..
Hugs, care and love everyone..🤗🌈❤️.

Hello Dear Everyone 🤗
Fiatlux, those pizza puffs sound tasty and have made me feel hungry. That sounds like a really nice brunch.
Grandy, it is good you took that time off work for your mental health. I hope you have had a restful evening at home after work today. I use those compostable plastic bags with my small kitchen tidy bin, and I too somehow manage to often end up with the scraps missing the bag and ending up under it!
My achievement today was sitting quietly with a cup of tea looking at the garden without trying to multitask doing other things on the computer or my phone at the same time. I just watched the birds and enjoyed looking at the late afternoon light on the trees. I also managed a walk in the bushland across the road which was looking a little fresher after some rain yesterday.
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend 😊🌸🌷

Pizza puffs sound great Fiatlux! Happy Sheep, nice work with the martial arts class too! And ER, that sounds very relaxing... it's good to be able to just sit without distractions for a while.
Grandy, my small achievement is also work related... I set up all the tables last night for Mother's Day this morning, and it allowed everything to run smoothly today.

Great job, Bookgirl!
My small achievement today was bringing flat shoes when going out with my friend and wearing heels - we realised we'd have a little way to walk so we thought we might as well be comfy!

Hello beautiful achievers…..🤗,
After a long struggle with the flu and staying curled up on my lounge the past week, today I got myself up and sorted out my linen closet, it’s surprising how much I can accumulate there…I do put little Nic naks their when I’m too lazy to put them away….
I had a few tea towels and bath towels as well as pillow slips that have seen better days, I’ll donate them to Vinnies, they make great rags for industrial use plus the bag of rags make good $ go to Vinnies and welfare….
Thats about all I’m capable of managing today, my body aches from the constant coughing…
Everyone of you are doing so great, achievements no matter how small are huge for us at times…Well done…
Sbella, what a great idea to bring a change of comfortable shoes, love the idea of a bit of mindfulness Eagle Ray in you garden…and martial arts Happy Sheep can be very strenuous. I used to take my younger son to martial arts and got exhausted just by watching him…
Its beautiful here where I am today…rain is falling, the air is so clean and fresh and I’m snuggling up again soon to just enjoy the moment….
A beautiful rose 🌹 along with my hugs, love and care to everyone reading along or talking here…🌹🤗💜🦋…
