Hi everyone,
Not sure where to start so hope I can express myself clearly and maybe with others' input we can expand on this. I'm interested in people's thoughts/ experience with meditation, manifesting, gratitude & the law of attraction. I've recently started using the Smiling Mind app to meditate when going to sleep and sometimes when feeling a little anxious, like tonight. It is something i thought i could never do as my mind rarely stops, however, with persistence, I find I enjoy it. I guess i tend to have a negative mindset which I am determined to change.I always felt uneasy about thinking positive things as i thought i would jinx myself, and that whenever I made a positive comment or felt happy it would go wrong or something negative would happen. So i refrained from allowing myself to be too happy, I guess to 'protect' myself. Recently i have been feeling happier, stronger, expressing gratitude and taking note of when things have come to me when i needed them. Coincidence, or answers to what i put out to the Universe? I like to think the latter. A work colleague one day told me to manifest something i wanted, put it out to the universe , so I'm trying. Example, recently we needed to measure the floor space at reception so we could calculate how many people we could have in at one time. I needed a tape measure, which i did not have. At that moment our handyman walked into the office. Guess what he had? I am getting into the habit of practising positive thinking instead of thinking/expecting negatives. If something 'negative' does crop up, it can be dealt with, it's not the end of the world. I look for the positive in every negative situation. I am becoming more aware of being grateful for little things, things like getting a good car park at work, a warn cosy bed, a tidy house. I feel when i am expressing gratitude I am putting positive thoughts out into the universe and I notice more positives instead of focusing on negatives. Late last week we had internet issues at work and a colleague i found a little annoying. I've been feeling very drained, agitated, negative for a few days. This morning things were not running smoothly for me. A result of my negative mind perhaps? Little things became a big deal, my morning was crap. If i look back, it wasn't really an issue, i just did things in a different order which gave me more relax time this evening. The Law of Attraction, positive thoughts, positive experiences.
What are your thoughts?

I feel so at peace after my reading. I feel I'm ready to pass on the gifts he gave me. I'd like to donate to charity so someone else can enjoy them. I no longer want to be rid of them out of anger. I enjoyed them at the time but they no longer bring me joy & stashing them up high in a cupboard serves no purpose for me. I feel I need to cleanse my mind, my space, my soul 🙏

Speaking of feeling good, I recently bought myself 2 rings. They are not authentic designer rings but I love them. I have been undecided which to buy for a while but I found 2 that instantly called out to me. Even though they are not genuine designer they make me feel abundant. I receive many compliments & they make me feel special. I wouldn't normally buy fake designer but the girl in the shop remembered I keep looking, undecided & showed me the new range she had. I guess my hesitation was cos I was waiting for the right pieces to come along...and they did. I love them & they make me feel good 🙏

I'm convinced me being sick was a culmination of the negativity & bitterness I was feeling. It was everything coming to a head. It was my mind, body & soul saying no more! Telling me it couldn't take anymore. So far this week I've had work colleagues reach out, I've spoken to some over the phone & again things feel light. I feel more connected. It is proof that happiness & Positivity bring more of the same. I stopped at a red light tonight & the house number was 333. 3 was our number & I've been avoiding it but I'm ready to embrace it again. Being unwell was the turning point. It was all the negativity that made me unwell. The negativity caused dis- ease.

Didn't sleep well last night. Lots of weird dreams I can't remember & woke feeling tired, a little anxious & flat. Sure enough the day wasn't as smooth as they have been. I was tired all day & not as up beat. I tried to be happy & positive all day & got there by end of the day but was completely exhausted when I got home. I'm still a little anxious but I'm remembering the bill I received that was less than expected. I also booked an appt that I thought I may have issues with but didn't. These things remind me that i overthink but things work out better than I expect. I will focus on these things, hopefully sleep better & pray tomorrow is a better day. Def not as happy today as I have been. Where did it go? Perhaps I will check down by our lake 🙏

Hi CMF
I'm hoping you had a much better sleep last night. Intense dreaming definitely challenges the nervous system, that's for sure. Intense dreaming just about all night keeps the nervous system and energy systems attached to it, such as cardiovascular system, in overdrive just about all night. No wonder you woke up exhausted. This is one of the reasons people with sleep apnea are so exhausted all the time, systems in overdrive. The chemical energy obtained during restorative sleep isn't happening as much either. Two reasons for feeling like a flat battery with no energy. High end emotions require high end energy. Again, I hope you got the recharge you needed last night. Seeing every cell in our body thrives on hydro power, might pay to up the water intake throughout the day.
I wish I could remember all my dreams, not just some. While some have been full of nonsense, the rest have been rather revealing in a lot of ways. Wouldn't mind more revelations now and then. They say there are ways of recalling dreams. Perhaps a new challenge is to learn how to recall them. Next level challenge would be - How to recall dreams but not dwell on them for too long. Whether a night dreamer or a bit of a daydreamer, reality requires our full consciousness on occasion 🙂

Thanks for the info therising. I has dreams again last night & am exhausted again. I did notice both nights I went to bed with something on mind that was bugging me. I also at the same thing for dinner & wonder if it may be something in the food?
I will try & up the water intake today.
Recalling dreams? Hmmmm...I'm not sure if I would want to or not. I know there are times I've woken feeling not great & I've preferred not to remember them. Not sure if I personally could not dwell on them. My throat is a little sore so I'm wondering if this tiredness is also me coming down with something. I know that feeling well. I pray I'm not. Interestingly 2 nights ago before bed I realised I had mixed up a specific date that related to me recent ex partner. I was annoyed I mixed it up, it unsettled me. Last night similar thing but with work. I'm guessing this is a contributing factor also.

Hi CMF
I'm glad things turned out to be fine at work. As for certain dreams, I get where you're coming from. The most exhausting nights can involve the ones where you can fear going back to sleep and returning to the dream or nightmare you were in before you woke up. Not a fan of those kinds of dreams. Besides fear, typically, there's an overwhelming sense of helplessness to them as well.

Your journey with meditation, manifesting, gratitude, and the law of attraction is truly inspiring! It’s wonderful to hear how you're transforming your mindset and finding positivity in your daily life.
Meditation, especially through tools like the Smiling Mind app, can be incredibly effective in calming the mind and reducing anxiety. It’s great that you’re finding it enjoyable and beneficial, even with a busy mind. This shows the power of persistence and the positive impact it can have on our mental well-being.
Your experience with manifesting and the law of attraction is a testament to the power of positive thinking. By focusing on what you need and believing that the universe will provide, you open yourself up to opportunities and solutions that might otherwise go unnoticed. The example of the tape measure is a perfect illustration of this—it's these small moments that remind us of the synchronicities in life.
Embracing gratitude can significantly shift our perspective. By acknowledging the good in our lives, we attract more positivity. The act of being thankful for even the smallest things, like a convenient parking spot or a cozy bed, can change our overall outlook and make us more receptive to the good around us.
It's natural to have days where things don't go as planned, but your approach of looking for positives in every situation is a powerful way to maintain balance. Remember, negative thoughts and experiences are part of life, but they don’t define it. By dealing with them and learning from them, you grow stronger and more resilient.
Remember that you are on the right path and that positive changes are coming your way. Keep believing in yourself and the power of the universe.
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s a beautiful reminder of the impact of positive thinking and gratitude. I wish you continued success and happiness on your journey.
