I'm starting a new thread of hope! This is a collaborative thread for ideas of how to make 2014 count! 2014 be better than 2013!

I will begin this forum with a pledge to find at least three things every day to be grateful for. For me it may be the sunbirds in my yard, the fact I have a roof over my head that is pleasant and cheap, the fact that I have had the privilege to meet all of you on this forum. That is my three for today as an example.

What else will work to make 2014 count and better than 2013?

Cheers and lots of love,

Suz xx

2013 has been such a difficult but slowly improving year. 2014 will be the year I turn my life around.

What I am appreciative and grateful to have going into 2014:

- my loving and understanding wife (we were separated/divorcing for 2 years but have reconnected this year)

- my gorgeous 12 yr old daughter

- my house with fantastic views of the ocean and amazing sunsets on an almost daily basis.

- being alive. I am grateful to be here and alive and trying to learn to not only live with my depression and anxiety and understand it but be at peace with it.

I'm grateful that I live in relatively wealthy country.

I'm grateful for people who make me laugh. What would we do without comedians and entertainers.

I'm grateful for the arts and the way they touch and heal the soul
