Hi Everyone.
I am just going to put this title out there and see what happens. Later on I will try to add old thread titles relating to this issue.
People may have wonderful weight loss stories to share, ideas on exercises that are beneficial, reducing binge eating tips etc.
Healthy recipes will also be welcome. Maybe even healthy foods you enjoy but your family consider to be rabbit food! Ha. Ha.
Unfortunately for depression sometimes means binge eating and comfort foods. A carrot just is not comfort food to my brain! I need to find ways to rechannel that way of thinking!
All ideas and thoughts are welcome here!
Cheers for now from Mrs. Dools

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been around fro a few days, back on track now..sort of. Would be great if the head spins would slow down a little. Still under the affect of the anaesthetic from my sinus op.
I'm really hoping I will be able to stick to a healthy eating plan and more exercise as I am recovering and moving forward.
Carol, I think you mentioned apples earlier, I have trouble eating them as I have caps and veneers on my teeth, same as carrots. So I grate them. I'm also gluten intolerant, so I make creamed rice a lot and add the apple to that or to yoghurt.
As a kid I used to like eating Vegemite and grated apple sandwiches! How I ever came across that combination I don't know!
Wishing you all well with your healthy eating!
Cheers form Mrs. Dools

Hi Mrs.Dools,
I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for the great tips!
This is the beginning of week 2 on my diet and I have lost a total of 1.8kg.
I cheated a few times this last week because I have been feeling really down. The first was at the cinema where I had some popcorn and chocolate. The second I had some bread because my stomach felt unsettled from new meds I am taking. Still I am happy for the loss.

Good on you Carol, you are doing well. I think last week you'd lost 1.2kgs after one week on the new diet. So an additional 0.6kg this week, despite a little bit of cheating, is pretty good. Total of 1.8kg after two weeks is good progress.
I hope this week is much kinder to you with regards to your emotional state and tummy upsets, and that it will enable you to 'power ahead' again.
Well done, and keep it up.
Sherie xx

Carol I started lite n easy today 🙂 tomato soup for lunch - YUM!! Sorry to read on your thread you're not doing to well. Do you have an appointment to see your doctor soon?? Much love to you.
Mrs Dools hope you're doing ok after you op. I have sinus issues too and the ENT specialist I see said I need an op to straighten my nose. Let me know if you have big improvements. I don't really want to do it. Vegemite and apple...Hhmm interesting combination. I remember my Mum use to like apple and cheese together. (Not me, I don't like sweet and savoury together). Big hugs to you. Hope you make a speedy recovery.
