Hi Viper, it is a struggle to eat. You do need to eat though. I just try to force something down breakfast, lunch and tea, even if it is something small. Up and go's have been working for me in the morning.

Hi Viper, I find the easiest food to eat while suffering from anxiety is peanut butter on toast...It's easy to munch down..I'm not sure if u like the taste though?

Hi there Viper
Yes, things like eating/drinking can often take a back seat when we’re in deep throes of depression.
You know one thing I clearly remember in the days that followed my brother’s death – when we (family) were just stricken with severe grief; that we had constant visitors to us and they would always bring food with them. It was simple things – a roast chook; torn/cut up into pieces and/or made into sandwiches. Though we were not hungry, small plates were put in front of us and though we weren’t forced to eat, we just nibbled and grazed kind of thing.
But simple things are the best/easiest – even cup of soup – and the earlier mentioned, “Up and Go’s” are good as well.
Fruit is a good thing to have around – just choose your faves and have them on the table or kitchen bench.
Eggs are always great to have around – as they can be done up in little time and don’t take that much effort – especially boiled ones.
Cups of tea also are good – if you are ok to drink water – water is a big thing also. Even though it is winter and it’s cold out, try to make sure you can drink a bit of water each day; lack of water in the system can have an adverse effect on your body and more so on your mental health.
I hope some of these suggestions have helped.
Neil
