Dear Elizabeth CP
I wondered whether there'd be alot of mixed feelings for Victorians most esp after lifting of restrictions... I felt the fear and negativity in myself when they lifted here.
Are you able to meet your daughter at the edge of your 25klm and her too??
Would this work at all??
Are you able to get support people to your home for you and your H now?
I really hope so.
You've dealt with such hardships during lockdown, events and things you didn't deserve to happen. No one deserved the hardships.
Please don't let these thoughts dictate how you CAN live your life now.
You absolutely DO deserve any pleasures and get togethers you can muster.
Love EM

Hi everyone
Hey EM....thankyou for your clarity and mentioning mixed feelings of Victorians coming out of lockdown...I hope Elizabeth has a look at your helpful post
Hey Elizabeth....change can be difficult. Even with good news...You have been on the forums for ages. I used to 'overthink' for many years and your post reminded me of the the way I used to think. I hope you are doing okay....There is no hurry for us to do anything after these restrictions have been lifted here in Vic
your feelings are understandable after being in lockdown since July..I really hope you can have a look at EM's thread above as its super helpful

Elizabeth as EM and Paul have said your reactions and feelings are understandabke. I think many will feel like you. There has been this big build up of anticipation with the announcement cement if restrictions easing and now it is here, you face the reality.
I feel if you can explain to others they will be having the same feelings.
I too find negative self talk comes at times of change and stress. I hope you can do a few things you have enjoyed doing but have missed.

Thank you EM, Quirky, & Paul for your kind words.
I need to see if my daughter will meet us somewhere. We can only do it on Sat because of her work & school commitments. Even on Saturday they usually shop in the morning & then trying to get her husband to go out is difficult. It is hard knowing where we can meet safely.
My son who lives nearby rang yesterday to invite us for dinner. Nothing fancy but it was nice to spend time with them. It was nice to see their toddler in his home territory. He is a real character until he is stopped from doing what he wants when he screams. Played UNO with the 6 yr old.
Guess it will take me a while to be really comfortable that we are safe from another lockdown. I get triggered by people/politicians etc complaining about the lockdown & claiming it was unnecessary. I can accept people venting about the difficulties of lockdown-We all feel that but clainming it was a waste of time is upsetting.

Hi Paul and everyone else, yes it is terrific but eventually, Mr Andrews our wearing of masks has to end.
Best wishes.

The SA situation reminds me how vulnerable we are if things go wrong. Thank goodness they seem to have got it under control.
I've jumped back up to an 8 because my dtr has covid but I can't get through to her to find out how she is. I wonder if I'll see her again. She is OS and was trying to get work back here before the pandemic hit stopping that. I know logically she'll be ok as she has always been fit and healthy but it is hard knowing she is the other side of the world where the pandemic is totallly out of control

Hi Everyone
Like yourself I take this virus seriously....It would be upsetting to know that our child has been diagnosed positive Elizabeth. You havent mentioned if your daughter has any symptoms....thats the good news! and as you mentioned she is fit and healthy too!
I know it may not be overly helpful....yet the UK Covid cases have been falling as per the NHS figures
Its 11:42AM Saturday in the UK now Elizabeth....Is her phone on or going to voicemail?
