I have extreme anxiety due to fluctuating blood pressure readings . Doctors keep changing meds to try and solve the problem but no relief. I am 84 yrs old and suffer from Peripheral Neuropathy and was diagnosed two years ago and that is when my BP issues began
I have been admitted to outpatient hospital on numerous occasions, usually by ambulance.
Just curious if anyone else has this problem ? My friends and colleagues who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure have been controlled successfully y medications,
have tried meditation, Yoga, deep breathing and downers
would love some comments this forum

Hi Ail_
I am wondering if you know about a condition called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)? I think there can be some crossover between that and Peripheral Neuropathy. With POTS there are often sudden drops in blood pressure on standing. The sudden drop in blood pressure can cause a rapid increase in heart rate to compensate which I imagine could be felt as extreme anxiety. So I just wonder whether something like that is contributing to the anxiety itself? However, I think from what you are saying it sounds like you are saying you have been medicated for high blood pressure? Both Peripheral Neuropathy and POTS usually involve low blood pressure as I far as I understand. Do you know if you were being medicated for low or high blood pressure?
It would be challenging to deal with. I hope you can find ways to feel better soon and get some clarity on why you are being affected the way you are.
Take care,
Eagle Ray
